Recently, Sehun realized that he had neglected something very important – Whether it’d be Leo, Yixing, or the few others he have escorted in the past, they all seemed to know about his personal life and the ones around him much more than he imagined.

As someone who’d end one relationship completely before moving on to the next, Sehun would never bring up his ex while he’s with someone else, so he suspected long before that there’s definitely something fishy going on when the people he was with all asked to break up because of some sort of misunderstanding. And this time, he thought it was even weirder for Yixing, someone who he haven’t contacted with in ages, to spread a rumor about Jongin being a rent boy when he knows nothing about him. But he had managed to track down the core reason to all this – Luhan.

The man had been working as his personal secretary for as long as he could remember, so it’s only natural that Sehun would leave him in charge of sorting out some personal things every once in a while. But he had never thought this simple act is the major cause for most of his unsuccessful relationships, all because he had been trusting him too much over the years.

Flipping through Luhan’s flawless work history, the CEO rubbed his temple and sighed in defeat, not knowing how to put his plan to action.

“What’s wrong?” Came the voice that made his mood lighten instantly.

He turned to the side and saw his lover staring at him with worry. Jongin is currently on winter break, and under the boy’s request, he brought him over to help him at work.

“It’s nothing. Just a little tired.” He smiled, reaching a hand over to ease the scowl between the Jongin’s brows and decided that he’ll talk to Luhan today no matter how unreasonable he might sound.

This can’t go on, not when he knows well that Jongin will be targeted sometime in the near future. He must protect him at all costs.

“You sure?” Jongin leaned close and stared at him with those eyes that he had fallen for from the beginning, which made it irresistible for him to pull his lover in and kissed him hard on the lips.

“All better.” The man broke it when he felt Jongin is running out of breath, and watched amusedly as a cloud of blush crept its way at the boy’s cheeks.

The awkward moment was interrupted by a sudden knock at the door, and Jongin couldn’t be more thankful for it.

“I…I’m going to have lunch with Baekhyun today.” He left those words before making a beeline towards the door and glared back into the office when he heard a chuckle.

‘This pervert, how could he tease me when I’m trying to cheer him up?’

“Careful.” A cold voice that sent shivers down his spine sounded.

Jongin turned around and stopped in his tracks instantly, as he’s going to walk into the owner of that voice if he didn’t.

“Sorry...” He muttered, quickly stepping aside.

The man walked past him without saying anything and Jongin could’ve sworn he was being glared at again.

“Perfect timing, Luhan. I’d like to have a word with you.” Sehun’s voice was the last thing he heard before the door closed.

Baekhyun is on the fourth floor. Under Sehun’s approval, he’s working here as an apprentice for the break, and is currently entering some numbers into a spreadsheet when Jongin arrived. Amused to see the rare serious expression his friend had, Jongin grinned mischievously and gave him a hard smack on the shoulder.
