I sit in my room on my carpet stretching like mom said to do. I sit in my splits and then begin to do other stretches. I then work on my pirouettes and other turns. I then flop onto my bed exhausted. I decide to write in my diary.

Dear Diary
Its Chloe and I'm sad and angry as usual. I went to school and was told at school to be as smart as Maddie. I came home and Mom told me to beat Maddie. I went to dance Abby told me to dance like Maddie. Why is it not OK to be just Chloe? Why does everything have to be a competition? Bye

I turn off my light and try to get some sleep when I hear a knock on mg door.
"Who is it"I ask softly.
"Clara"a squeaky voice whispers.
"Come in"I say. I turn on my light and sit down on my bed. My door opens. I see Clara standing there. She had puffy red eyes because she had been crying. As she walked over I notice her limp.
"What's wrong Clara"I whisper.
"Shhhhh Moms gone to bed"Clara cries. She sits on my bed. She points at her feet.
"Omg Clara"I cry. Her feet were covered in blisters from turning so much. No six year old should have feet like that. A dancer my age shouldn't even have that much blisters. She cries in pain.
"Chloe, can I sleep in here tonight"she whispers.
"Of course Clara"I whisper. I turn off the light and we both go under the covers of our blankets. I hug her till we both fall asleep.
