about a year later
the whole grade had a project.
the teachers shouted out names, which became small groups.
every group had to go to a part of the city and do a few tasks.
i heard them shout my name and i stood up.

i fuckin knew it.
we were four in the group and that it was awkward would be an understatement.
everyone in our group was shy.
and i didn't want to talk either.
a few looks at times but nothing special.
a task was to take a picture of the group.
i said i wanted to take the picture,
bc for some reason i didn't want to be in a picture with you.
it was quiet the whole time.
while on the subway on our way back, i glanced up at you.
it just happened that you were looking back at me.
i excepted you to look away,
but you didn't.
after a while a i just smiled awkwardly and shifted my gaze to the window as if nothing happened.
i just wish we would've had at least once a genuine conversation.
not a single word exchanged.
