Amaterasu

Chapter 9

Third POV

There was silence in the room.

No one expected Amaterasu to dare protect a stranger. She barely spoke, and didn't seem the type to save the lives of the people she didn't know.

She was like the female version of Sasuke, but more stubborn and manipulative. She could get what she wants even without you noticing it. Its something she would do effortlessly. She doesn't even know when she does it.

"What are you saying Tera?" Jugo stood there with his fist ready to make contact with the pale male in front of him if Sasuke orders him to.

"I despise unnecessary battles." If she could prevent blood from shedding then she will.

"You're being held captive so you have no say in this." Sasuke almost growled.

Tera looked at him calmly.

"I've let you keep me captive. My opportunities to escape were many. Yet I stayed, because I didn't have a reason to leave. Not until now, but you knew this." It was time for her to leave. She didn't expect it to have been this soon though, but it didn't matter.

"We have the information we need Sasuke, so we should just let her go." Jugo knew Tera's reason for having to leave.

She trusted Suigetsu and Jugo the most, but told Jugo more about herself then to any other member of Taka. He was a quiet person, so she trusted him in keeping it a secret. Even from Sasuke...

"She deserves punishment for not telling us before." Sasuke's tone became colder.

"You won't touch her Sasuke." Growled Naruto. "She has done nothing wrong."

Sasuke activated his Sharingan and looked at Naruto with almost the same amount of hate he had for his older brother.

"You stay out of this!" Hearing Sasuke yell meant that he was seriously pissed off.

The reason why? Who knows.

Naruto was taken a back hearing Sasuke raise his voice.

It was only when they battled that Sasuke would raise his voice at him. They battled when he would have enough of Naruto. It was a way to shut him up, and release some steam.

"If punishing me will allow me to go with them, then I'll gladly take that punishment." All eyes were on Tera once again.

Surprised those words came out of the quiet girl, Naruto just couldn't stay silent.

"We'll get you out of here safely just like we promised your sister." The mention of her sister made Tera more sure of her decision in going with Naruto. It also cleared some questions that she had.

Nodding at Naruto she walked in front of the two ninja and faced the leader of Taka.

Sasuke remained still as Tera came closer to him. He had his Sharingan activated just in case she tries anything.

Tera stopped when there was a good amount of distance between them.

She was very hesitant about doing this. It was also something she didn't think would happen so soon, but right now... It was the only way.

She was so frustrated that she even shed a tear...

Clenching her fists she mouthed an 'I'm sorry' and finally put Sasuke in her genjutsu before she would back out.

Sasuke himself wasn't why she shed that tear or apologized. She did that because of a completely different reason. It's because with this genjutsu she risks the destruction of her village..., of her clan.
