Sebastian sighed, laughing under his breath. "Although I hate to say it, I did eavesdrop in on the conversation. It seems that they're determined to make sure this engagement happens, and soon."

"They are, and if you ask me, they're persistent about it." Madam Red added, shaking her head. She felt tears welling up in her eyes as she looked back at the butler before her. "Sebastian, what are we going to do?"

"It's decided," he stated, standing upright from his previous kneeling position. "We'll have something figured out by Sunday."

"Really? That's all you have to say?" Madam Red asked. She looked up at Sebastian, skeptical of his words. She knew that it was typical of him to stay calm and composed, but she presumed he would show a little bit of concern at the very least. After all, it was his lover who was at the risk of being engaged to another man. He stared back down at her, nodding as he smirked. Madam Red sighed and shook her head, rubbing her temples and her eyes squinted shut. "Don't tell me, just let me guess. You already have something figured out, don't you, Sebastian?"

"I've had it planned for some time now, My Lady." Sebastian said as he sat down next to Madam Red. He reached into his pocket, keeping whatever it was he had concealed in between his hands. "I've talked to Grell about this, and she's expressed that this is what she wants the most, too." He looked down to his hands, running his thumb over the object as he stared at it with a smile. "I've had this with me for some while now. Grell and I always considered eloping someday, but now that you're aware of our relationship, I suppose I better had get your permission." Sebastian opened up his hands, revealing a small box covered in black velvet. He opened the container, revealing the contents to Madam Red. "Madam, I'd like to marry your daughter."

Madam Red gasped, stuck in a state of shock. She looked at the object inside, sparkling as the sunbeams in the window hit it. Once returning to reality, she closed the case in Sebastian's hand, shaking her head and chuckling under her breath. "Sebastian Michaelis, you are one cunning man. When are you planning to give this to her?"

"Tomorrow afternoon," Sebastian answered, putting the box back in its rightful place in his pocket. "How I see it is that if Grell's engaged to another man, it will conflict with and possibly eliminate the possibility of the engagement between Grell and William."

Madam Red sighed, the hint of a faint smile creeping onto her lips. "I don't understand the way your mind works, Sebastian, and I'm not sure if I ever will. But, I'm sure glad it runs the way it does."

"So, does this mean that we can have your blessing?"

Madam Red sat in silence, pondering over Sebastian's proposition as he waited anxiously for an answer. It was risky, with the chances of Ciel or anyone else discovering the secret relationship being raised higher than they already were, not to mention that it would ruin both her own and her daughter's repuations and social standings. Still, she didn't want to separate Grell and Sebastian. She nodded, turning her attention back to Sebastian. "Yes, of course. You have my blessing."

Outstretching her frail arms and emitting a yawn, Grell groggily opened her eyes. A grin found its way onto her face as she climbed out of bed. Cheerfully, she bounded over to the window, whipping back the curtains and basking in the light, allowing the sun to grace her pale skin. She cracked the window open, allowing the natural morning sounds resonate through her room. Restraining her laughter, she skipped into the bathroom, picking up a hairbrush and swiftly running it through her hair as she looked into her smiling reflection in the mirror. Her dreamy morning was suddenly interrupted by a knock at her door.
