Carefully toddling his way to the pool, Kenneth held his nose, shut his mouth and dove into the populated pool.

Now, the fact that he had forgotten to grab his goggles from his bag wasn't exactly helping with his mini trauma. But then something started to wire up. Something that stopped him from even entering this place.

The wave machine.

It simulated you being in the sea, albeit a much warmer and busy one. Making waves swish you around, it was actually pretty fun if you had floats and stuff like that. But it isn't ideal for infants, though.

Or Kenneth, either.

Wave after wave soared through the pool, making most of the people whoop in joy and in surprise for those who had experienced it for the first time.

Kenneth on the other hand, wasn't enjoying himself at all. The waves were keeping him from doing anything at all. Things looked hopeless for Kenneth until a girl who was getting her hair brushed noticed him and sprinted up to him. Not caring about slipping on the floor or bumping into anyone. She was focused on the drowning boy.

Kenneth noticed her approaching and laid out his arms for her to grab them.

Unhesitatingly, she grabbed Kenneth's arms and pulled him out of the water which was still getting bombarded with the wave machine.

She sighed, happy she'd saved a boys life today.
