I walked around the camp, giving the campers friendly smiles along the way.

I walked over to the lake where Preston and Harrison were swimming.

"Be careful boys!" I called to them.

"We will!" They yelled back in unison.

I took off my shoes and socks and stuck my feet in the cold water.

"How was your date cultist?" A voice said behind me.

"Hi Max. It was fine." I said.

Max sat down next to me and sighed.

"Don't lie to me Daniel." Max said.

"Huh?"

"It was more than fine. I can tell." He told me.

"Oh really? How?" I questioned.

"David is sticking closer to you now. You are staring off into nowhere. And I saw you this morning with him." Max explained.

"You saw us?" I asked with a worried tone.

"Yep. Oh and by the way, Nikki thinks you look good in a Campbell uniform." He said.

"Um... Ok." I blushed. I rarely got embarrassed at anything.

"Hey guys!" David said behind us making Max jump and fall in the water.

"Oh no!" David reached in the water to grab max to pull him up.

"I can't see him!" He said.

"I'm over here dumbass." Max called from way out with Preston and Harrison.

"Max! Don't scare me like that!" David was getting angry at the boy.

I thought for a minute then stood up.

"David. Give me your hand." I told him.

He was reluctant but gave me his hand.

And I pulled him into the lake.

"I'm coming in!" I said before hopping in.

David splashed me and I splashed him.

And then, Max swam over and splashed us both.
