Out Of My Body

The view from above is lonely. I feel as though I'm floating outside my body. Below everything is happening. The world's moving quickly, constantly.

The people and the scenes go on. And all I do is float. The air is sliding across my skin. Hairs on my neck rise, chills slink down my spine.

I call for help, but no one hears. My voice is strained, why is no one listening? The skies are glistening with my tears, and no one is listening.

My chest vibrates and rattles my hollow soul. It's like I'm invisible, and encased in sound proof walls.

This is how the darkness claims me. Stealing all my hope. Kicking me away from my body so it feels like I'm not truly there. Not at all.

This is how the quiet claims me. Stealing all my aspirations. Taking away the thoughts that once made me whole. But now, it feels like I'm nothing. Not anything at all.
