The Process of Death

My breathing
It's so shallow

My heart
It's so slow

My eyes
They have stilled

My soul
It needs to be filled

My happiness
It left me awhile back

My sadness
It I do not lack

My pain
It's so strong

My home
There I do not belong

My love
It has left me

My mind
It can no longer be set free

My breathing
It becomes shallower

My heart
Its beating now slower

My eyes
They begin to blur

My soul
It feels obscure

My happiness
It's putting me at peace

My sadness
It's me it'll release

My pain
It begins to be numbing

My home
Away from it I'm stumbling

My love
It is unneeded

My mind
It's advice is unheeded

My breathing
It stops

My heart
It gives its final hop

My eyes
They become closed

My soul
There it goes

My happiness
It settles down

My sadness
It still holds the crown

My pain
It's gone

My home
It played me as a pawn

My love
Won't come back one day

My mind
It's forever trapped away
