wish

i was all there.
i wish you knew.
i guess things like that dont seem to last
but i wish it did.
tonight you'll be the reason, for a smile.
but its not mine.
& you'll be the reason that they feel love
a love that i wish was mine.
the drivings not so bad, but i cant stand the silence,
your laugh used to drown out the mileage.
i guess people like you dont seem to last,
but i wish you did.
i guess the world doesnt allow for people like us,
but i wish it did.
& you'll be the reason for somebody's laughter,
but it wont be mine.
i've found it hard to hide, fake happiness wont pass the time.
so i'll be in the sky, where we used to be.
where i saw you cry for the first time,
but i'll always hide my tears.
