Once upon a time, in a far away Kingdom, lived a prince. The prince was spoiled and selfish. He would never help a soul.
One day, an old woman came to the castle, seeking help from the selfish prince. As she was explaining to him, he was looking at her and once she finished, he laughed in her face and told her to never come back.
The old woman was not pleased. Golden light surrounded her and she turned into a beautiful fairy. The prince was surprised and fell on his knees, pleading her for forgiveness.
The fairy shook her head and told him that he does not deserve mercy. She told him she would curse him and give him a rose. He had to find someone to love him, the real him, so he can turn back normal. He had time until the last petal of the rose fell.
He was not the only cursed one, though. The beautiful white palace turned into a dark castle, and all the people inside lost their humanity.
And from then on, the prince has been waiting for his one and true love to come and save him.
