PACING YOUR STORY CAN BE HARD! It's almost impossible to figure out when your story is going to stop and when certain things are going to happen!

a good system I follow is this:

CHAPTERS ONE THROUGH FIVE — Opening! This is the time for character introduction, setting, etc! It's the time for exposition and setting up the story!

CHAPTERS SIX THROUGH FIFTEEN — This is setting up for the end game! By this point, you need to know what your ending point is going to be! This is when relationships and friendships start forming, plans go into action! Basically, at this point, the story is moving!

CHAPTERS SIXTEEN THROUGH THIRTY — This is putting the end game into action! This is when people get into fights, friendships are tested, villains get more nerve, this is the set up for the end!

NOW THESE NUMBERS are flexible depending on what time frame your story is set in, how much you write, etc! This is just a rough outline of where your story needs to be!

( The origin of the chapter numbers is from an image on Pinterest however the explanation is 100% by me! )
