Mystic Falls

Niklaus

Elijah waited for me on the dock near the lake house. He said that he needed to speak with me about something urgent. Being able to feel the strength and power running through my veins is better than breaking every single bone in my body every month. But it was just something about Hayley that made me feel more powerful while being around her.

Just knowing that she's present without one hundred feet of me made me feel different. Like a different source of power awaiting for me. One that I was drawn to. One that I couldn't walk away from without putting up a fight. It felt great.

"Brother?" I smiled approaching him. He licked his lips and placed his hand in his pocket before speaking.

"Unfortunately I have some news that I presume is going to wipe the smile directly off your glowing face." Elijah mumbled.

"Enlighten me." I smirked with confidence.

"Yesterday Au-" before he could finish my phone began ringing cutting him off. I held up my index finger and pulled out my phone to answer Khloe's call.

"Niklaus?" She questioned. "Bad news and more bad news. First things first, Kole's...dead." My eyes widened and I attempted to hang up before she revealed to me the second part.

"And what's the other bad news?" I asked swallowing hard.

"Aurora is responsible for his death, and she's on her way to Mystic Falls."

"Unless she's already here." Elijah mumbled. Hanging up the phone I slid it into my pocket before using my speed to take off.

Hayley

I waited in the car outside of the Salvatore Boarding school for Hope to come outside. Today I didn't feel like she should ride the bus. Besides, after that stunt she pulled there's gonna be a little more monitoring.

"Hey." I smiled as she got into the car while throwing her book bag in the backseat.

"Hey." Hope mumbled putting on her seatbelt. I pulled off slowly after watching Caroline wave me off.

"How was your day?" I asked focusing on the road.

"They canceled art this week." She mumbled looking over at me. "What am I posed to do other than writing that's fun?"

"I'm sure they'll do something about it next week sweetie." Just as I finished my sentence my phone began to rang and I answered Elijah's call. "Hello?" I answered on the second ring.

"I think Niklaus is going after Aurora." He stated seriously. "I need you to see if you can convince him otherwise, he isn't answering any of my calls."

"Okay." I nodded hanging up the phone. Without any hesitation I dialed Klaus's number only for it to go straight to voicemail so I tried again. "Klaus?" I stared seriously into the phone. "You don't have time to be putting yourself in danger-"

"I don't have time to sit around knowing that my brother is dead!" He snapped into the phone. "Is this going to continue to happen Hayley?! I'm tried of losing my family-"

"Do not go after Aurora Klaus." I stated cutting him off. "I'm serious."

Just before I said something else He hung up the phone and I looked over at Hope who looked at me. If Klaus was repeatedly putting himself in danger he was doing nothing to my little girl but crushing her. I didn't even have to ask her to know what was wrong.
