We all stayed the night after that.

"This is the letter that A sent our mom," Aria tells me the following morning, shoving a piece of paper in my face.

A exposed our dad's affair to our mom last night. Via letter out of all things.  Another reason for me to be mad.

"Lemme have a proper look," I grumble, "i.e please hand it to me instead of waving it in front of my face please."

"Why so grumpy this morning?" Emily asks from the chair in the corner.

"I don't know.  I feel like I have gone through a blender," I complain, stretching my aching joints.

"Jesus 'Lissa how did you get that?" Aria exclaims from next to me. Pointing at my side with horror.

"What?"

"Lift up your top 'Liss," Spencer orders me, immediately taking charge of the situation.

I feel four sets of eyes looking at me expectantly, willing me to lift up my shirt.  So I complied to the 4 weirdos. Lifting up my shirt and ignoring the pangs of pain that proceeded as I bring the fabric up.

"Oh my god!" they all exclaim, mirroring Aria's earlier face of horror.

I look down to my lower torso and see what they all see. No wonder I feel like my entire muscle skeleton is a ball of pain.  I am a black and blue chessboard. I have slashes of red glistening with dried blood in tiny scratch marks on my shoulder blades. Some green sparkles catching the light.

And man it kills. Pain ricochets all the way through my central nervous system as I realise how much pain I am actually in. I must have been running on adrenaline last night.

The bruises and the starches weren't the most alarming thing about my current state was the writing in black, written across my stomach.

Remember Cece? Or did you black her out every time you kissed her boyfriend. A bruise for every time you blacked her out -A

"What does it mean?" Hanna asks breaking the silence.

"It means that I was seeing Jason behind Cece's back. I am just as bad as Meredith seeing my dad behind my mom's back," I snap, pulling the shirt back into place.

Hurt flashes over Hanna's features when I snap at her. I feel a pang of regret in the pit of my stomach. "God I am sorry Han... I am in a lot of pain right now."

"It's okay... I understand..."

"Come with me Alyssa," Spencer says, "I'll get you some pain killers."

Spencer goes into the cupboards and starts to rattle in there to find me some painkillers.

"It's not your fault, " Emily reassures Aria, referring to the letter.

Spencer puts down a glass of water in front of me and a packet of painkillers. Plus, a bowl of grapes. I ignore the grapes and pop two Paracetamol out of the silver pockets. Two small spheres lay in the palm of my hand before I place them both on my tongue. The bitter taste starts to fill my taste buds before I take a massive gulp of water.

"You did not hook up with her and then ask your kids to cover up for you," Spencer interjects, adding herself back into the conversation.

She makes a good point.
