Chapter Five

The next day Oliver gets a call while we are in the "Arrow Cave"
"And you think my team would help you fight metahumans?!" Oliver asks.
I turn to Felicity. "What are metahumans?"
"It's just a fancy word for superhuman." Felicity explains.
I nod. "Oh! Okay, that makes sense."
She nods smiling.
"The Flash is one of them." She says.
I nod. "I've gathered that much."
"Fine. My team will be there by tomorrow, Barry." Oliver says.
"Yeah, yeah. See you tomorrow." He says after a moment. Then he hangs up.
"Everyone go pack. We are going to Central City." Oliver says.
Everyone does what Oliver says, except me.
"Um, Isabella?" Oliver asks after I stand there staring at him for a moment.
"Yes?" I reply.
"You should go get packed." Oliver says.
"I'll only need my suit correct?" I reply.
"Izzy. Pack your suit, normal clothes, and something to sleep in. Pack for at least a week." Oliver says.
I smile. "All I wanted to know." I reply.
Oliver rolls his eyes and waves me away.
"If you wanted to get rid of me all you had to do was say so." I say.
He laughs. "You know I don't want to get rid of you."
"I know." I reply and then I walk out before he can say anything else.

After I pack I walk out of my room to meet Oliver.
He takes my bags from me, and gives me a light peck on the lips.
I smile, "Thanks."
Then we go to Central City.

"You made it!!" Caitlin says.
"Of course we did." Felicity replies.
"Hi, Isabella." Cisco greets.
"Cisco!!" I squeal as I run up to him and hug him. He laughs and hugs me.
Oliver shoots Barry a confused look and Barry just mouths 'best friend'
"How are you, Izzy?" Cisco asks after we hug.
"I'm good. My suit is amazing, thank you." I reply.
"You're welcome. If something happens just call me or text me and I'll fix it." Cisco says.
I nod and kiss his cheek. "Thanks, buddy."
"You're welcome." He replies.
"Who are these metahumans we have to help you with?" Oliver asks impatiently.
I walk up to him and wrap an arm around his waist.
"Patience, my dear." I whisper.
He rolls his eyes.
"Well you see... There are multiple people. Some may be of interest to you." Barry explains.
Oliver gives him a quizzical look, urging him to go on.
"Reverse flash, a man...Deathstroke, some girl named Cupid, Captain Cold, Heat Wave, and some villain called... Constantine. All together. Trying to ruin your city and ours." Cisco explains.
"No." Is all Oliver says.
"Slade." Diggle mutters.
"Wow." Felicity says.
"Who is this Slade?" I ask.
Oliver looks pale, then he gets angry. His fists clench, and he looks like he is about to scream.
"Another time." Barry whispers.
I nod.
I rub Oliver's back in an attempt to calm him down a little.
"Maybe you just need to sleep?" I suggest.
He shakes me off.
"Not when people like this are trying to ruin my city." Oliver replies.
I huff in response. He is so difficult.
"The city will never be ruined." I tell him.
"I know, Isabella. Its because I'm here to protect it." He replies.
