"I'm not too sure about this, Sam." Jace said, rubbing his forehead with his right hand.

"But-"

"Honey, as a parent, would you let your daughter go into a house full of people that want her dead?" Mum bargained, and I sighed.

"You're right, I'm sorry." I gave in, and flung my legs over Jace.

"So you aren't going to speak to him?" Dad asked.

"Nope."

"Aren't going to look at him?" Mum tried.

"Seriously? I'm not allowed to look at him?" I tilted my head and raised my eyebrows at my mum.

"Fine, you can look at him. But that's it."

"What if he comes up to me?" I asked.

"Tell him you can't talk and walk away."

"Partners in an assignment?"

"Ask for another partner."

"And if I can't find another partner?"

"Leave school." Jace said, nodded his head proudly as if he'd gave the best answer ever.

"No, Jason. You'll demand another partner. You know how to use your powers." Dad said.

"Alright, this'll be fun." I concluded. "Now who's up for pizza?"

You could say the next day was a tiny bit torturous. And when I say a tiny bit, I mean a lot

How didn't I know that Cameron was in nearly all of my freaking classes? When I walked into French, he was there. In English, he was there. And chances are, he's probably in my Maths and PA classes too.

Speaking of Performing Arts, that's where I was heading right now.

"Hey, Sam!" Olivia, the third in commands daughter, shouted from the corner of the studio. "Over here!"

I smiled and headed over to her, scanning my eyes around the room to see if Cameron was in this class too. Once the coast was clear, I took a seat beside Olivia.

"Hey, how have you been?" I said, greeting her with a hug. "You weren't in yesterday."

"We had a small problem with some of our pack members, and, well... let's just say one of the girls has a slight dislike to me."

"What did she do to you?" I asked, folding my arms.

"She freaking bit my arm! Took seven hours to heal. You know, sometimes, I wish I had your stupid awesome powers so my wounds would heal faster." Olivia huffed, glaring at me before a smile cracked out through her lips. "But that doesn't matter. Have you seen that new hottie that's just joined our class today?"

I followed her gaze, and my eyes widened as I saw Cameron small talking with out teacher, Miss Little. He was in this class too?

"Could this day get any worse?" I mumbled under my breath.

"What?" Olivia asked.

"Oh, nothing. Yeah, I've seen him." I agreed, pulling out my textbooks.

"Isn't he gorgeous. Think I'd have a shot?"
