Chapter 1: Ring Ring…Hello?

{Andy POV – 4:25pm}

I groaned as I heard my phone ring and looked at the time. Late afternoon…and I fell asleep on the couch again…great, sore neck for two days again. I looked at the caller ID and raised a curious eyebrow as I stood and answered the phone. What was Marilyn Manson doing calling me during a 'cat-nap'?

“Hey Manson, what’s up?” I asked as I stretched, walking towards the kitchen.

“Oh, hey Andy.” Manson replied casually, but I could hear a smirk in his voice…and someone shouting ‘No!’ at the top of their lungs.

“How’s it going?” I asked, casually searching my refrigerator for something quick to eat.

“Yeah, great, you?” Marilyn chuckled darkly, so I assumed he was tormenting someone he knew would forgive him.

“Yeah, I’m good.” I smiled and shook my head at his tone. “Got a reason for calling other than small talk?”

“So, listen, there’s a young lady you simply have to meet…” He trailed off and I smirked.

“Fan?” I asked smugly.

“Little bit of a fan, yeah… but majorly has a crush on you and we’d like to make her squirm for a change…” Marilyn laughed over the top of someone shouting a string of curses at him.

“Sounds fun, I’m in.” I snickered along with him.

“Yeah?” he asked, ever so slightly shocked. I wouldn’t normally go along with his suggestions, but I was curious to meet this new girl of his. “Great, I’ll text you the address…see you in twenty.” He hung up just as someone shouted ‘No!’ again.

I chuckled quietly to myself as my phone buzzed in my hand; reading the address Manson texted me as I slung on my black leather jacket, grabbed my wallet and keys, and headed out the door. This may well be a very interesting evening…

{Andy POV}

I smiled as I spied two young women, probably early twenties, sitting on the steps of the house Manson had directed me to; pulling up as I saw Manson bound out the front door, nearly trip and then jump the fence to greet me.

I shook my head as I stepped out of my car, he really did overdo it sometimes. “Sup Manson?” I smirked as he clapped me on the back. I never really understood why blokes that are friends do that, but whatever.

“So, Andy, ready for this?” Manson asked with a wink. Does he know something?

“As I’ll ever be.” I smiled and narrowed my eyes a little. “Where’s the lucky lady?”

“The gorgeous girl in the pretty pink shirt and ripped grey skinny jeans,” Marilyn replied and nodded towards the girls. “Katrina.”

“Cool, and I assume the other young lady is your Cindy?” I asked as I looked the other girl over and nodded. “Nice work man…” I laughed with him quietly as we sauntered through the front gate, just catching the tail end of their conversation.

“Not that I blame you…he is rather dishy…” I smirked as Cindy looked up, noticing I’d heard her.

“Afternoon ladies!” I smiled at them both; smiling as I heard Katrina’s nervous laugh. I saw Cindy nudge Katrina slightly to stop her giggling and smirked slightly.

“Hey Andy.” Cindy, Manson’s girl, smiled up at me as Katrina glared at her; Cindy standing and offering me her hand in a hand-shake, smiling sweetly. “Pleasure to meet you…big fan and all that jazz.”

I nodded and thanked her, but I felt my eyes widen and my heart speed up when I took a proper look at Katrina…she was beautiful! I could tell Cindy was smirking at me as she pulled Katrina to her feet.

“Hello…” I said, mentally smacking myself for how timid my voice had sounded.

“This is Katrina…but she likes Kat better…she’s a ball of fun!” Cindy smiled as she pulled Katrina forward, watching the way I was looking at her. “Well, let’s not linger in the doorway, so-to-speak…let’s head inside!”

“Yeah…sounds great…” I smiled, my eyes darting back to Katrina every few seconds. “Maybe you’d show me around?”

“Ah,” Kat looked at Cindy who looked anywhere but at her friend. “Yeah, sure… come on in!”

As I followed after Katrina, tripping on the small step at the front door, I couldn’t help but think that maybe, just maybe, Manson knew I’d fall for her as soon as look at her… and that was why he’d brought me here…
