♠ 12 - I Don't Think Heroes Shoot People ♠

•Avianna's POV•

"I did what?"

"You shot Xander." He repeated.

"Oh...ok." I said.

"Are you okay Avi? You look a little pale." Leo asked.

I peeked around him and saw blood coming from the living room. I grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him close.

"He's gonna KILL ME!!" I screamed.

"LEO! I NEED THAT CLOTH!" Blake called. I ran into the living room where Xander was unconscious in the floor, blood escaping from his abdomen. There was also a really pretty girl on the couch that looked like she was about to puke.

Blake took off Xander's shirt and I couldn't help but look at his eight pack. Blake used the shirt to apply pressure on his abdomen to prevent anymore blood from gushing out.

"Why don't you rush him to the hospital?" I asked Blake.

"He won't make it, we'll have to patch him up here." Blake said and stood. "In the meanwhile, escort Britney out."

I looked at the brunette and groaned. I tapped her on the shoulder, but she kept staring at Xander's bullet wound. I took a step back in case she actually puked, and this is my only suite of clothes.

"Let's take you outside." I said and helped her up from the couch. She kept her eyes on the blood, her eyes widened like she was in shock.

"H-he..." She mumbled and pointed to Xander.

"No, he's not dead...yet." I told her but said the last part in a whisper.

I got her outside and shook her shoulders, trying to snap her out of it...she didn't. Instead of being a good person and trying to shake her out of her state of shock, I got tired and went back inside, leaving her outside staring the street.

Does that make me a bad person?

Nah.

"Okay, the girl is still in shock but-" I stopped mid sentence when I noticed Xander started bleeding again and Blake and Leo were in distress trying to stop the bleeding.

"What the hell did you guys do?!" I yelled at them.

"I maybe sort of...slipped my hand where I stitched him." Blake said nervously.

"What?"

"Are you gonna call a doctor now?" I asked them, my arms folded across my chest.

"Even if we did, by the time a doctor reached here, Xander would've bled to death." Leo told me.

A lightbulb went off in my head, memories came flooding into my mind.

A man was an iron table, he received a bullet to his shoulder, but he was conscious. The man's face was blurry, but I saw myself, taking out the bullet.

I got onto my knees beside Xander and got to work.

"Done!" I announced and stood up. There was blood all over my T-shirt, but I didn't care. I wiped the sweat from my forehead and burst into a bright smile.

You saved Xander.

He definitely owes me.

But you did shoot him.

Shut up.

"How did you-?" Blake asked, clearly speechless.

"I don't know, it just came to me." I told him, shocked at myself.

"That was amazing!" Selena exclaimed beside Blake.

"I don't know when he's gonna wake up though. You should probably get him into his bed and change his clothes." I told Blake.

"Yeah." He nodded. Leo and him managed to carry him into his room and lay him in his bed.

I collapsed on the couch, exhausted, and took in a deep breath. Selena took a seat beside me and gave me a smile. She handed me a glass of water and I gulped the water down in less than a minute.

"You really are tired." She laughed.

"Yeah."

"How did you know what to do?" She asked and tilted her head.

"I don't know, I just somehow knew." I told her honestly.

"This doesn't make sense." I whispered to myself.

"I remember my dad got a bullet to his arm. We were hunting and my uncle accidentally shot him." Selena said, lost in deep thought. "My cousin, she did what you just did. It's been a long time since I saw her, I barely remember what she looked like."

"She sounds like a hero." I smiled.

"Like you."

"I don't think heroes shoot people. I just fixed my mistake." I laughed, and she joined in.

"Maybe, but you did save him." She pointed out and got up from the couch, I stayed seated.

"I gonna use the bathroom." She said and walked away.

I don't think this is a story to boast about.
