Leandrea's POV

"Where are we going?" I asked Jeremy. He'd driven out of the school parking lot and was now heading towards the markets.

"That's the whole point about a suprise," he said winking one of those gorgeous eyes at me."How much ever you pester me, I'm not going to tell you."

I huffed in annoyance and crossed my arms over my chest. "How long will we take?"

"You're going to be a terrible person to go on long drives with," he said with a laugh. "'Jeremy when will we reach ? Jeremy are we there yet? How much longer Jeremy?"

I whacked him on the shoulder at his sick imitation of me and we both laughed. "I don't talk like a baby squirrel," I said indignantly and pouted.

"Well you sure look like on," he said flicking my nose again.

"You still haven't answered my question," I said rubbing my nose. That guy seriously needed to stop doing that.

"In around an hour."

"An hour?!" I shrieked. "But don't we have other classes to go for?"

"Do you want to go for them?" He asked still keeping his eyes on the road. We were now slowly heading out of town and I could see the surrounding changing as the number of trees increased and the houses decreased.

"Nope," I said. I didn't have it in me right now to see Ryden again and I had most of my classes with him. Plus I'd to bear with Caleb and I was sure Natasha would have a ton of questions for me.

"Good cause you won't be back home till late evening."

"Where are we going again?" I asked hopefully.

"To hell," Jeremy replied with a grin and I laughed.

We spent the rest of the car journey making up the lyrics of songs we didn't know on the radio and talking about totally irrelevant things.

I felt better than I'd felt in a long time and Jeremy was fun to have around. He wasn't annoying like Caleb or silent like Kevin or too flirty like Dylan or too intimidating like Ryden.

Stop thinking of that jerk Leah!

Jeremy was Jeremy and I was glad that we were doing this.

"We're almost there," he said after what seemed like an eternity of rapping to Eminem and my throat was parched.

We were well into the woods by now and I rarely saw any houses around. I looked outside the window for anything. A house, a restaurant, a club, anything!

Suddenly, Jeremy took a sharp turn and a lake materialized before us. The sun shine was reflecting of it in shades of white and blue and it was breathtaking. It wasn't really big but it looked heavenly. Along one of it's banks was a one story lake house made of wood and it looked exactly like I'd stepped into a storybook.

"Welcome to Hastings Lodge," he said with a grin, his eyes taking in my bedazzled expression.

"Oh my God it's beautiful Jeremy," I squealed getting out of the car and running to the lodge. Up close it looked bigger, and fancier and homely. Jeremy was right behind me and he opened the door with a pair of keys and held it open for me. "Milady," he said bowing down and I laughed.

The lodge was extremely comfortable inside. The hall was huge with a couch, a flat screen television and bookshelf and a dining table. There was a flight of stairs that probably lead to the room upstairs and the door going to the kitchen and bar.

"Make yourself at home," Jeremy said flinging himself on the couch. "I try to keep it as well stocked as possible since dad gave it to me so I guess you'll find everything you need."
