JAINA ADAMS WAS 'NORMAL'. She was aware of how broad the adjective was; what part of her was normal, why did she feel like that, et cetera, et cetera, and the list went on but the thing was that she didn't know. At the mere age of eighteen, Jaina found herself juggling different feelings and emotions that in her mind she wouldn't have to worry about until at least her late thirties.
She found herself comparing herself to Mikaela Banes more than she'd like to until her mother sat her down when she was ten. Jaina's mom told her of her blood line, of how powerful the Adams women were and how she should wear her tan skin and dark hair like a crown.
Enter Sam Witwicky. There were many words that Jaina could use to describe the boy and whilst some were rude and she didn't dare speak them out of politeness, some of them were kind but the one that rang clearest in the back of her mind was 'oblivious'.
So Jaina made her move - she plucked up the courage and took the first step only to be viciously pulled into a world of freaking aliens that just so happened to take the shape of a car.
(She wasn't so sure as to why it was specifically vehicles but she chose to not question it.)
Her story was no longer about getting the guy it was about saving man kind and more importantly, saving herself.
