Julia's P.O.V.🐺

Josh, Sam, Rusty, and I found a park. I was happy I could put Rusty down so he could enjoy the grass. I really wish I could join him. I bumped Josh with my elbow.

"I'll be right back. I'm gonna see if I can find a good stick to play fetch with Rusty." It was a lame excuse and it surprised me when he bought it. I smiled to myself as I found a section with a good bit of tree so I could change without being seen.

I stripped out of my clothes and tucked them under a bush before changing into a wolf. I hadn't been a wolf in a while and it felt good to be one again.

I stayed on the far side of the park to keep from being seen since it was the most deserted part of the park. I heard a cheerful bark and saw Rusty running towards me with his little tail wagging as fast as it could.

He apparently recognized it was me because he rubbed up against me and jumped around like a puppy does. So I spent time playing with Rusty, bounding around like deer chasing each other and eventually snuggled under a tree. Rusty was curled in a little ball with my tail wrapped around him. The poor pup was fast asleep after a fun filled day at the park.

At one point I dozed off and woke up to Rusty nudging me. The sun was going down and immediately I knew I was going to be in trouble when I got home. I stood up and stretched getting a kink out of my back. Rusty and I began our journey back to the section of trees that hid my clothes.

"Did you check over there?" Someone said. I ducked behind the trees and Rusty stuck right next to me. Poor kid started shaking and whimpering while the stranger walked around our hiding spot, shining a flashlight in every direction.

I could hear other voices and footsteps while more and more flashlights roamed around the park. I couldn't change and just walk out there.

Rusty stood in between my paws and looked up at me with the saddest face. I heard footsteps coming close to us and a low growl escaped my mouth before I could do anything to stop it.

"Something's over there!" Another person yelled. I heard multiple footsteps before men in really weird jumpsuits showed up pointing flashlights at us. I growled and backed against a tree with Rusty underneath me whimpering. If he was a human he'd be crying.

Two guys ran off while the rest formed a semi-circle around us blocking any chance of escape. The men just kept staring at me and Rusty I guess waiting for the two guys to return and I was scared why.

Once they returned I saw why they were so important. They each came back with some pole with a rope at the end. It looked like the tool dog catchers use..........oh my god.

While I was in my own little world, one of the guys slipped the rope around my neck. I squirmed around trying to break free but the dang rope wasn't budging. Rusty barked at it and tried to help by biting it.

"She's got a pup." I heard someone whisper. Whoa whoa whoa there sailor! Yes I love Rusty but as a little brother and I am no teen mom! If only the boys heard that comment they'd lose it.

The other man with the rope slipped it around Rusty. He squirmed and jumped around becoming terrified. The man was able to get close to him and picked him up.

I tried my best to get out but the more I struggled the tighter the rope around my neck got. I eventually had to give up and they led us out of our old hiding spot.
