"What're you....? NO PLEASE!" This was it. If they caught him doing the deal then the man who tried to drown him would go behind bars at last even if he couldn't prove his first crime. If only Logan could look away when he came in. If he saw Logan the whole game was up.

"I can't" Patton touched his hand
"Logan look at me. Eyes front. Eyes front" He tried to move his gaze, Jim was going to turn and see him looking any moment now. Patton was begging him "If he sees you looking it's all over Logan please! Please look this way! Eyes front Logan please" Jim was going to turn. He was going to turn around and see them and Logan still felt frozen looking right at him. Look away. Look away. Eyes front, eyes front, eyes... Patton grabbed his face and kissed him, moving his lips in sync with Logan's as his grip slid away until he pulled back to whisper
"I'm sorry but I had to distract you" Logan let the event sink in, stuttering slightly
"Tha - thanks for he - helping" Patton smiled apologetically and watched Jim try and close the deal, getting up he pulled out his badge.
"You're under arrest for the illegal purchase and supply of..." Logan got up and walked over to watch Jim squirm until he was lead out. Patton shifted
"Again I'm sorry i had to..."
"It's fine. You were just helping" He nodded quickly
"I'll see you at work" Logan nodded and walked home as Roman raised his eyebrows at his friend.
"You had to?" Just once.
