Silence. Darkness. The air was thick. Her blood ran cold. The stillness drifted around her in wafts of icy breath. A lonely light strayed along the white horizon, ascending upwards as it began it's journey across the empty sky. The soft wind strengthened the ease that the moaning trees broke. They mumbled and murmured. Their aging trunks swaying to the rhythm of the breeze. Mist rose from the glistening water, she watched it escape from the currents. She wondered where it went, what quest it took once it had disappeared into the blue. Did it gaze upon unseen views from it's prominent position in the sky? Or did it run along the streets glimpsing new faces everyday? Wherever it was she wished she could go. Be the traveller that drifts away in feminine swirls. Yet here she was. Her feet on the ground. Another Day, another dream.
