Are the Hinatards angry yet? If not, you might be after this chapter.

Okay, so we've covered that Naruto truly loves Sakura and that Hinata did not truly love Naruto but only admired him and you've read what I had to say about The Last's way of introducing NaruHina.

Now, let's talk about Naruto's feelings for Hinata.

First, a few things about Naruto:

1. He's loved Sakura for years

2. He can be kind of reckless and stupid sometimes and could use someone to knock him down into place

3. His mom once told him to find a girl like her (he already had)

4. He detests people who are weak-willed and don't stand up for themselves when they have the ability to

5. He hates people who give up

6. He doesn't care much for fangirls

Now, a few things about Hinata:

1. She is not Sakura

2. She is ridiculously shy and hates confrontations

3. She is the complete opposite of Kushina

4. She is weak-willed and doesn't stand up for herself

5. She gives up

6. She is a fangirl

It is for these reasons and more that she was never even in Naruto's readar. He completely over-looked her in favor of the girl who was strong, determined, independent and like his mother.

Look at all the times Hinata's interest in him has been made obvious—and he has completely ignored her.

How about that time where she confessed her "love" to Naruto while fighting Pain, and Naruto completely ignored her!!! He brushes her aside. She literally jumped into the middle of a fight and risked her life to save him—and they don't even exchange another word until the great ninja war (and even then, Neji has to freakin die to spark an interaction between them).

If it had been Sakura confessing her love during that battle with Pain, Naruto would have been thinking about that through the entire fight. But since it was only Hinata, I don't think he even remembers.

Take a hint, Hinata!

But then—OH LOOK—WOW—Naruhina magically comes to life in The Last. OH OH OH it turns out Naruto and Hinata actually DID have some interactions. OH OH OH and a magic switch in Naruto's brain suddenly turns and Naruto realizes he loves her not Sakura. AAAWWWWWWWWWWW HOW CUTE HAHAHAHAHA

Well played, writers, well played.
