Is it okay to say I regret it all,

Even though I started it all?

I did not mean for all this to happen,

I just wanted him to stay with me, that's all that mattered.

But no, he chose freedom over me,

What did I ever do!?

Now thinking of the past,

I realize that the past is the past.

But sometimes I look up to the sky wishing,

Wishing that it never happened,

That the next day I'll wake up with him still here.

I have dreams about these painful days,

And waking up to me screaming his name,

"AMERICA!"
