Let Me Help You

Chapter Eight

Kihyun watched as his friends told him they were going to give him time. They left the room but let the door open when Kihyun cried out after they tried to close the door. He cried until he couldn't cry anymore. He tried to get out of bed but cried out from the pain that was coming from his back. He just laid down again and looked for his phone. He then remembered that he left it in the bathroom. He tried once again to get up but cried out in pain again. He tried to push past the pain and made it halfway to the bathroom when he fell. He heard footsteps running up the stairs and froze in fear that it may be Jiseok again. When he looked to his bedroom door he found Hyungwon looking at him with a sad expression. Hyungwon walked over to him and helped him up. Kihyun blushed when he remembered that he was naked.

"I was trying to get my phone from my bathroom. The pain was just to much. I tried to push past it but couldn't take it anymore." Kihyun said as Hyungwon helped him back to his bed. 

"It's okay. You could have just yelled for one of us." Hyungwon said as he went to Kihyun's dresser and grabbed him a pair of boxers. 

He walked over and handed them to Kihyun and turned around so he could put them on. Once he heard Kihyun sit back down he turned around.

"Do you want to go downstairs?" Hyungwon asked.

"I do but I don't want to walk down the stairs. Can you hand me the sweater Changkyun gave me please?" Kihyun asked as he remembered that Jiseok harmed Changkyun. "Where's Changkyun? Is he hurt?" 

"He's downstairs sitting on the couch. He's got a bruise from where Jiseok punched him but he should be fine. He's worried about you though. He wanted to come up here when he heard you fall but I told him he should rest and came up instead. I needed to make sure you were okay." Hyungwon said as he picked up the sweater and handed it to Kihyun.

"I want to go downstairs. How do I get down there without putting myself in pain?" Kihyun asked as he pulled the sweater over his head.

"I can go get Shownu and Wonho and they can carry you down." Hyungwon said watching Kihyun put the sweater on.

"As long as I can get downstairs without any pain I don't care how." Kihyun said.

"I'll be right back then." Hyungwon said as he turned and walked out of the room. 

Kihyun heard his footsteps go about halfway down before they were coming back up with two more sets following. He watched as the three of them walked through the doorway.

"Hyungwon, can you get my phone for me please?" Kihyun asked.

"Yeah. Where is it?" Hyungwon asked.

"On the counter in my bathroom. I left it there when Changkyun called from outside my bedroom door." Kihyun said as he looked down at his lap.

Kihyun waited as Hyungwon got his phone and looked up when he tapped his shoulder. Kihyun looked at his other two friends to see them talking with each other. They were probably thinking on how to get him downstairs without causing him any pain. 

"We can only think of two ways to get you downstairs." Shownu said.

"What are they?" Kihyun asked as he looked at them.

"You can either try and walk down with us supporting you on either side or you can have one of us give you a piggyback ride." Wonho said as he looked at Kihyun.

Kihyun thought about it for a little bit before looking at them.

"I would rather have the piggyback ride. I tried walking to my bathroom to get my phone and that ended with me falling on the floor." Kihyun said as he looked down at his lap.

"Okay then one of us will give you the piggyback ride while the other and Hyungwon will make sure you don't fall and that you're not in pain." Shownu said. 

The three of them talked for a little bit before Hyungwon and Shownu walked over to Kihyun. Kihyun looked up at them and smiled a little bit. Kihyun jumped as best as he could onto Shownu's back once he was ready. Wonho and Hyungwon made sure he was okay before Shownu started to walk out of the room. They then walked down the stairs and got to the living room where Kihyun saw Minhyuk sitting in a chair and Changkyun sitting on the couch with an ice pack pressed up against his cheek. Shownu walked over to the couch Changkyun was on and gently placed Kihyun down. Kihyun made himself as comfortable as possible before looking at Changkyun.

"I'm so sorry. This is all my fault." Kihyun said.

"It's not your fault so don't blame yourself. Your not the one who punched me that jerk of a boyfriend did. He's the one that should apologize not you." Changkyun said as he took the ice pack off and looked at Kihyun.

"But it is my fault. If I told you guys what was happening then I could have left him and none of this would happen. It's my fault that you got punched." Kihyun said as he frowned at Changkyun's bruise.

"Stop blaming yourself. I'm the one that attacked him. He hurt you and I wasn't going to stand by and watch." Changkyun said.

"I'm the reason you got hurt. I'm the one who started to cry and needed to be hugged. I'm the one who allowed you to put me in your lap knowing he was downstairs and could wake up at anytime. I hate myself for letting this happen. I'm so sorry I put you in danger. I'm sorry you got punched for trying to help me. This is the reason I didn't tell any of you what he was doing for the past year. I'm so sorry guys." Kihyun said as tears started to fall down his cheeks.

"It's okay Kihyun. We would do anything for a friend even if that meant getting beat up to try and protect them. Don't blame yourself for what happened. It's all Jiseok's fault for thinking that you only belong to him. He should know that you have friends that care for you deeply." Minhyuk said as he looked sadly at Kihyun.

Kihyun just started to cry and brought his hands up to try and wipe away the tears. His efforts weren't working for the tears just wouldn't seem to stop. Changkyun scouted closer and grabbed Kihyun's face. He looked Kihyun in the eyes and wiped the tears away with his thumbs. He then pulled Kihyun into a hug without hurting him. Kihyun moved the best he could to get closer to Changkyun and curled up into his side.

"Don't ever think you're not worth our help. You are worth so much more to us than you think. You're worth so much to me that I wouldn't be able to stand it if you blamed yourself for this. We love you Kihyun." Changkyun said as he wrapped his arms around Kihyun.

"I love you guys. You're the best friends I could ever ask for. What do I do about Jiseok though? I can't leave him. He said he'll kill me if I tried." Kihyun said as he lifted his head up but stayed wrapped in Changkyun's arms.

"We can all come up with a plan on how to get you away from him but until then you'll have to do whatever you can to stay with him and not make him angry." Wonho said. 

"Can you guys at least stay the night? I know for a fact Jiseok won't be coming back today or tomorrow. He said he was going on a trip with some friends and family for a couple of days." Kihyun said looking at them.

"That gives us the perfect amount of time to come up with a plan." Wonho said.

"I'll take Shownu and stop by everyone's houses and get everything we'll need for the next couple of days." Minhyuk said.
