Ariana's Point Of View
October 4, 2017
Wednesday, 8:18am

"Justin is back!" I heard someone yell from down the hall.

Everybody turns around. Justin walks down the hall with the principal next to him. He keeps his head down.

"Justin, you okay?!" Some dude asked.

"I'm fine now." He mumbles.

He walks by me.

"Justin." I said.

"Oh, hey Ariana, I didn't see you there. You're so small." He chuckles.

"Everybody go to class. You'll have time to hang out later." The principal says.

We all rushed over to class. That's where Justin came in and sat next to me. Everybody wouldn't stop looking at us.

End of class, 8:50

"So, anything new with school?" Justin asked.

"Oh yeah, got harder." I rolled my eyes.

"Wow." Justin says.

"I know." I said.

"I didn't really get to know you the other day. How about I interview you now?" Justin says.

"Sure. Go ahead." I smiled.

After three minutes, it was time to go to class.

2:00

Class ended for the day. Time to go back to the dorm. Good thing there's no homework... yet.

"Hey Ariana." I hear a familiar voice say.

"Oh, hey." I smiled.

"So, I was wondering if you want to hang out?" Justin asked.

"Sure." I smiled. "Right now?"

"Well, yeah, but let's put away our stuff first." Justin said.

"Alright." I said.

I walked over to my dorm and put my things away. I walked back to the middle of the campus and waited for Justin. He comes back.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"We're staying in campus..." Justin awkwardly says.

"Oh okay. That's fine." I smiled.

Justin leads me to a picnic table on the campus. We both sit across from each other. I smiled and Justin's face goes red.

"So, um... I'll tell you everything. From the start." He says.

"Okay. You don't need to though." I said.

"No, I'm telling you so you can understand." Justin says.

"Um, okay." I said as I tap my fingers against the table.

"It started Sophomore year of high school. I knew how to take care of myself but that's when things started going downhill. My family started giving me... attitude. I didn't really care. I go to school and when I come back, they aren't home anymore. It's like that everyday after school when I come home. One day I come home to my parents fighting. I couldn't help but listen. It was about money. We were apparently loosing a lot of money, but I had a lot of money left. I really wanted to share my money with them but they wouldn't let me. One day after school, my family obviously isn't home. The house smelled like someone didn't close the trash can mixed with someone taking a shit. I lit a candle and I left to go back to school. There was a football game and I wanted to watch. I came home to the house burnt down and firefighters and police everywhere. That's when I fucked up. I killed my family. They must have came home right after I left." Justin explains.

"Shit, Justin." I said.

"I know. It's all my fault." Justin says as he avoids eye contact.

I got up and sat next to him. I rubbed his back.

"Stop saying it's your fault. It's not." I furrowed my eyebrows.

"I-I kind of feel myself in hell still." Justin says.

"Justin, don't think like that. Please." I said.

"Fine." Justin bluntly says.

"Wanna go grab something to eat?" I asked.

"Um, sure." Justin says.

"Okay, let's go."
