Born to Ilotte and Nylpho Venomania in Asmodean, the boy's mother committed suicide due to his physical deformity: a small face on his right cheek. Labeled as a "demon child", the Venomania heir was imprisoned in the mansion's basement by his father, forbidden to ever leave. Ignored and considered non-existent, the boy was completely alone until, around EC 126, he met Sateriasis, his younger half-brother. Together they snuck away from the mansion during the night, far from the sight of people. Heading towards a forest, the deformed teenager met Gumina Glassred during one of their escapes and fell in love with her; for years, the three would play together.[1]
At some point, due to his brother begging their father to free him, he was allowed out of the basement as a servant, receiving the name Cherubim; although he was reviled for his appearance by the other residents, he continued to have a close relationship with Sateriasis and Gumina. As time progressed, Cherubim grew envious of his brother's beautiful face and popular demeanor. Ten years since he met his love, Cherubim learned of his younger brother and Gumina's engagement. Although devastated by this, Cherubim decided to confess his feelings to Gumina and called out to her. Before he could make his confession, the young man was suddenly mocked and scorned by Gumina in public.[2]
