Max's POV

"David you little shit how dare you disobey your mother and do that! Your the one I should have put you up for, maybe if you weren't a needy little brat all the time then people would like you! Your a worthless shit that shouldn't exist! That's why we are sending to camp. To get the hell away from you.". I started to tear up remembering all the memories I had about my mother and step dad. After my dad died my mom started drinking and met my step dad; at first he was nice, but it changed the second they got married. I always cried myself to sleep just thinking about it. I started to open up a small, yellowing and crinkled up piece of paper. It was one of the last things I have of my dad. Before he died he wrote this letter. "My little Davie, if your reading this, it means I'm gone... I never wanted this to happen at all. I just trieda to protect you and all I did was make it worse. If anything happens between you and your mother the envelope has all the things you need in life. I love you Davie, Dad"   I start to cry. If I was gonna leave Camp this was all I needed. I pull out 500 dollars, A few pictures of the good days, and my birth certificate. On it, it reads David Maxwe- Great, my last name was smudged. As Neil walks into the tent I quickly try to hide the papers and of course one paper flew out of the cabin when Neil entered
"W-what are you doing in here Neil???" I yell as I quickly wipe the tears off my face. "Are you...crying?" He said this with a worried look on his face. "N-no I had just...STUBBED MY TOE!" I then went ahead and banged my toe on my suitcase. "Ow...".

Nurf's POV

I was on my to Neil'a tent to bully him. It was Tuesday so he already knew. I was a few feet away when I saw a mmpaper fly out of the tent. I was curious so I went ahead and picked it up. I look at the mystery only to find it was a birth certificate. It said in a bold text "David Maxwell -:-/--//". Great the last name was smudged. So I go over to David, being cheerful and annoying as ever. "Hey david is your middle name....Maxwell?" "Why of course not Nurf! My middle name is Hart-" "Okay thanks." And I just left. I then started to realize something...MAX'S REAL NAME IS DAVID! "I have to tell the others!" I started running around camp telling everyone I can find. Now with that out of the way let the chaos begin.....

The next day (bc I'm lazy af)

Max's POV
I woke up late....great now I know for a fucking fact that this will be a shitty day. I quickly put on my hoodie and walk out of my tent. The second I walked out everyone got really quiet. Then Nurf walks towards me. "Hey Nurf..." "Hey...DAVID!" He yelled holding out my birth certificate. I just stared, I didn't know what to do. It was like I froze. Everyone started to laugh. And as they were laughing I felt the tears roll down my cheek. {A/N: MY BABY I CANT} As I was looking around at everyone laughing I saw Neil. Neil just stood there staring at me with a blank look on his face. I started running. I just ran as fast as I could. I actually ended up at the boat dock I just sat there crying. Alone. All of a sudden I heard footsteps behind me. I look behind only to see Neil. I dried my eyes with the sleeves of my hoodie and quickly asked "What do you want?". I could tell he was upset. Without saying anything he just walked over and sat down next to me. "Max... I'm sorry... It's okay Max they'll stop soon" Then just as he said that I grabbed him and hugged him as tight as I can. "Thank you...".
