Nikki's POV

I put the kids down to nap before someone throws a hissy fit.

The doorbell rang and I opened it without looking through the peephole.

"Ethan. Hi."

He handed me my bag.

"You managed to leave this in my car somehow."

"Fuck. Sorry. Thanks for bringing it back."

"You're welcome."

We stood there awkwardly.

"You wanna grab some dinner or something soon?"

"Not today though. Sorry. I've got a lot of moving things to deal with today. Maybe tomorrow or the following day?"

"I'll see and get back to you on that."

"I'll see you the next time I see you." I smiled.

"Until next time."

"Thanks again for bringing back my bag."

"You're welcome." he said and walked away.

I shut the door and let out a breath of relief.

Cameron was calling me. She was the only Dolan I kept in touch with. She was the only person, other than our parents, that knew about the pregnancy. Then Grayson was in LA for whatever reason and saw my baby belly and here we are today. I'm so grateful they haven't said anything to Ethan. Truly blessed.

"Hey."

"Hey. How're the kids? I heard you were back in town."

"Yeah I'm moving back here. LA just isn't the place for me. As for the kids, they're napping right now. My mom accidentally fed Jason bananas and he had an allergic reaction. He looks like he's getting better though."

"Have you told Ethan yet?"

I sighed, "no. I haven't found the right time to."

"You need to tell him before someone else does. It's better that he finds out from you versus finding out through someone else."

"I suppose. We're going on a date sometime soon so I'll tell him then."

"Sounds good. Do you mind if I come over to see my niece and nephew?"

"Of course not. They've missed you."

"I'll be over in a few. Then we can talk about other random stuff."

"Sounds great." I smiled and hung up.

About 20 minutes later, Cameron came over to the house.

"I've missed you so much." I hugged her.

"I've missed you too."

We made small talk and it got quiet.

I cleared my throat, "I know Ethan should have a say in this too, but he doesn't know he has kids yet so, will you be the kids' godmother? It's a lot to ask, and you can say no if you want."

"Nikki, of course."

"Yeah?"

"Yes. Is Grayson gonna be the godfather?"

"Probably. I have no family that I completely trust so." I shrugged.

Ethan's POV

"How's Nikki?" Grayson asked.

"Doing good I guess. We hung out for a while just now. Then she had family stuff to take care of."

"Did you guys talk about the move?"

"She said she left because her social anxiety levels were rising and that she felt she burdened everyone with her problems and stuff like that."

"But she didn't."

"I said the same thing. I said that if anything, she wasn't a burden to me. But there's nothing we can do to change it now." I shrugged.

"At least she's back. Now you can mend your relationship."

"Yeah. That's true. You know she watches our highlights?"

"Really?"

"She said they're impressive."

"She makes it seem like we were never good in the first place."

"Let's try to make slime."

"Grayson. What the hell?"

"What? It's not like we have anything better to do."

"Let's practice instead."

"Fine. I need work on my throws and my aggression anyway."

"See, if I didn't bring it up, you would still suck."

"Shut up." he rolled his eyes.
