CHAPTER 41: Marry Me

Cafe.

It's 5:35 in the afternoon.
Nagpaschedule ako ng 8-5pm kay ma'am Cristy. Pumayag naman sya para maaga rin akong makauwi.

Wala pa rin si Tristan.
Siguro hindi na sya darating.

I sighed.
Palabas na ako ng Shop nang makasalubong ko si Zeus. Hinarangan nya ang pinto.

"Let's talk" he said.

He has a very serious face and I felt like he has something important to say.

"Ok, sige."

He held my arm. "Not here" Lumingon sya sa paligid. "Come with me"

Dinala nya ako sa loob ng kotse nya.

"I think it looks improper but mas maigi na rito dahil tahimik at walang makikinig" he said.

"Ano bang sasabihin mo? Sabihin mo na baka dumating pa si Tristan at magalit yun pag nakita ka nya." sabi ko

"Ano namang karapatan nya? Kayo na ba?" tanong nya.

Hinarap ko sya. "Oo. Bakit? May problema ba?"

He clenched his fist. "Alam mo ba ang ginagawa mo ha?"

Napakunot noo ako.

"Akala mo ba ipaglalaban ka nya? Hindi mo ba alam ang history ng Mom at Dad nya? Gusto mo bang magaya dun?" galit na tanong nya.

I was shocked at the sudden raise of his voice. Little did I know he is capable of being this angry.

"Ano bang pakialam mo?" tanong ko. "Choice ko to. Choice kong gawin kung anong gusto ko. It has nothing to do with you."

Hinawakan nya ako sa magkabilang balikat, mariin. "Listen, he won't choose you. Alam mo ba kung nasaan sya ngayon? Ha? Nasa isang dinner sila kasama ang Daddy nya. Pati sina Lolo at Pamilya ni Xyerah"

Nagulat ako sa sinabi nya. Tristan will never do that.. He won't. I am his only Bride. Right?

"Malamang pinag uusapan na nila ngayon ang details ng kasal nila. I heard they will do it real soon. Before Lolo's birthday" paliwanag nya.

Pumatak ang luha sa mga mata ko. "Hindi mangyayari yan. Hindi ako iiwan ni Tristan."

"Yan ang akala mo. Kung hindi ka nya iiwan, nasaan sya ngayon? Edi sana nandito sya."

Blam!

Malakas na kalabog ang narinig namin mula sa bintana ng kotse. Naulit ulit. Isa pa. Tuluyang nabasag ang bintana ng kotse ni Zeus sa bandang Driver's seat.

"Open this damn car before I break it all of!" galit na sabi ni Tristan mula sa labas ng kotse.

Zeus unlocked the car and got down.

Lumabas din ako sa kabilang side.

Pagkalabas na pagkalabas ko ay nakita ko ang malakas na pag unday ng suntok ni Tristan sa muka Zeus. Nasubsob sya sa kotse, duguan ang bibig.

Napahiyaw ako at lumapit kay Tristan para umawat.

"Don't you dare come near Chelsea again."

Hinawakan ko ang braso nya. "Tristan, stop it"

Tristan looked at me and pulled me near. He's breathing heavily because of anger.

Umayos ng tayo si Zeus, pinahid ang dugo sa bibig nito.

"Man, this car is pretty expensive. How dare you break the glass?" galit din nyang tanong.

"I don't care kahit gaano pa yan kamahal. I can buy you ten of it if you want." said Tristan.

"Really?" Zeus smirked. "How? The answer is clear that you chose Chelsea over money. So how will you be able to buy me a car? You're broke as fck now. You're no longer a rich heir who can have anything you want"

"Then" Tristan glared at him. "You pay for it. Since you get what you want now"

Tumahimik si Zeus.

"Last warning ko na to sa'yo. Next time na lapitan mo ang girlfriend ko, tutuluyan na kita" Tristan said before we turned around.

"I'm sorry, hindi na dapat ako sumama sa kanya. Muka kasing urgent yung sasabihin nya ka--"

He cut what I'm saying with a quick kiss on my lips.

Pinalo ko sya sa balikat. "Ikaw talaga"

Napansin kong duguan ang kamao nya. He got those wounds and bruises from hitting Zeus car.

"Tara sa bahay, gagamutin ko yang sugat mo" sabi ko.

"Sa bahay natin" he said.

I looked at him with puzzled eyes.

He took me by the hand and led the way. We went to his condo.

Pagdating sa penthouse, dinala nya ako sa Garden. May candle lit dinner na nakaprepare sa mesa.

"Pano mo naayos to? Akala ko pumunta ka sa Dinner meeting nyo Pamilya ni Xyerah." sabi ko.

"I just went there to say the wedding is off." He pulled the chair and let me sit down. He leaned closer. "You have to trust me. I told you, ikaw lang ang gusto kong pakasalan. Kaya kong talikuran ang lahat. Wag lang ikaw"

I smiled at him. He kissed my forehead.

"I love you, Wifey"

"I love you too, Hubby" I replied.

He laughed. "Haha that sounds so cute. Wait for me here. I'll just wash my hand. It'll be disgusting to eat with this bloody fist"

Tumalikod sya para pumunta sa kusina.

Bumalik sya matapos ang ilang sandali. May dala din syang speakers. He set it all up and played a sweet song.

Natatawa ako sa kanya. He is such a hopeless romantic guy.

"Okay. Let's eat" sabi nya.

Hindi ko alam kung anong niluto nya this time, pero may plato sa gitna na natakpan ng stainless food cover.

"Yay. It must be special"

"Open it" he said.

I did as he said only to find a small box inside. Nagtaka ako. Hindi naman pagkain yun.

He took the box. "Ta-daah"

He smiled and bent his knee beside me. He opened the box.

I was stunned by what's inside. A pair of beautiful ring. It's white gold. If you put together, the design at the center will form a heart made out of diamonds.

"I was able to buy it before they take everything I have. Now, as Zeus said, I'm broke. Do you still love me?" he asked.

Natawa ako. "Of course."

"Will you marry me?"
