I would like to thank all of my readers!!! 200 Reads! Well, that's it so happy reading. :-)

"So Mister Winters, why don't you tell Mrs. Pole why you hit her son." Principal Nelson bored. He didn't really care about kids or his job that much. Most of the school thought that he would have been fired by now.

Justin had an ice pack right below his left eye. I sat between Justin and Ben. Next to them, sat their moms. Ben's mom, Miss Winters, looked furious. Mrs. Pole, however, seemed unfazed about the fact that a boy hit her son. I guess she understood the problems of high school. Unsurprisingly, the only one not in the office was Rosie. Of course she worked her way out of this, yet why was I here? Oh yeah, because my ride home was just slapped. I was pissed off at Justin for sleeping with Rosie, and I was also pissed at Ben for slapping Justin. I kinda wanted to do the honors myself. But I was even more pissed off at Rosie for controlling my life, like someone who I used to call mom. Why couldn't she just leave me alone? Ahhh! Where did all this drama come from? About two weeks ago, I was still a nobody who sat at lunch alone. And now I'm in the principal's office in middle of all the drama. Sucks. I always thought that all the drama would be something worth value. But, I'd rather be back in my little corner of isolation then in my situation.

"Sorry Mrs. Pole for hitting Justin. Sorry Justin" He signed unapologetically. Immediately, the principal say upright.

"Oh, I'm sorry Mrs. Pole, do you need a translator?" He asked. "The ASL teacher is still here I think."

"No thanks, I can understand him perfectly. Thank you very much." She kindly smiled, signing. Then, the principal looked confused but slumped back in his chair once again.

"Act sincere!" Miss Winters signed with anger. Ben rolled his eyes at his mom's comment. "That's it, two weeks. You're grounded!"

Ben's whole family was deaf. And by family, I mean his mom and himself. He told me that his dad died in a car accident when he couldn't hear the sirens of an ambulance behind him. Which, crashed into his car. He died instantaneously.

"It's fine, Miss Winters." Justin's mom offered a kind smile.

"Please, call me Karen, and I'm so sorry for my son's behavior. I don't know what's gotten into him. He would never hurt a fly." I chuckled at what Miss Winters had said. I knew Ben and he would hurt a fly if he had to, to protect the ones he loved. I understood that part of why he hit Justin. But I also knew that wasn't the whole reason why he hit Justin. I would get to the bottom of that later.

"Well Karen, I think Justin will be okay." She had the same blonde hair with blue eyes as Justin. They even shared the same smile. "You'll be okay, won't you sweetie?" She signed.

"Yea mom, I'm fine." Justin tried to sign while holding up his ice pack. "Really,"

None of the adults knew why Ben hit Justin. That would stay between just us. We didn't want Justin's mom to know that he had sex with Rosie. Ben, however, looked on the verge of screaming it to Justin's mom. We just told the principal that Ben hit Justin because he was mad at him for not telling him that I was okay. That was our cover story to convince them.

"Then I think we're done here principal." Mrs. Pole stood up. The principal blinked twice, trying to understand what she was conveying.

"She said we're done." Justin spoke while holding the icepack over his now purple bruise. Courteously, we all left the office and said our goodbyes. Yet, as soon as we were out of eyesight, Karen grabbed Ben by the ear and walked him to the car. Boy, was she one mad mom. I'd be too though.

"So who was that guy Sally?" Jess teased. The twins were pretty vocal for being deaf. They could talk pretty well because of the speech therapy lessons. I wished I was that confident enough to speak. Sally was on her phone while the twins were painting each other's nails. Jean was coloring in her Hello Kitty coloring book. We were all hanging out in the older girl's bedroom. That included Jess, Hailey, and Sally. Even though Jean slept in the other room, she often hung out with the older girls. Delilah also slept with Jean and Quinn. I was told by Jess that she stays in the basement, writing poems. So, I didn't see Delilah often and neither did her family. The house had four bedrooms. The master bedroom, the younger girl's room, the older girl's room, and the guest bedroom. When Chris came home for the holidays or break from school, he'd sleep on the couch in the basement. Justin's room was also in the basement. It was originally just a multipurpose room, but the family turned it into a bedroom for more space.

There were two bunk beds in the corner and one regular single bed in the other corner. For a regular bedroom, it was pretty large so they were able to fit a two desks and a dresser in as well.

"Just a friend." She signed, looking up at the twins from her phone.

"A friend who held your hand!" Hailey spoke.

"Geez, it's nothing." Sally had a blush that crept onto her cheeks.

"It's something alright." I signed.

"Says the girl who is obviously in a love triangle." Sally smirked.

"Am not."

"Isn't it romantic though." Hailey pretended to faint in her twin's arms.

"With who then?" I countered. I kind of knew, but I didn't want to admit to myself.

"That other deaf boy, duh!" Jess pushed her sister out of her arms.

"We're just friends." I assured them.

"Sure, 'just friends'." Hailey put air quotes around "just friends". Sally rolled her eyes.

"That's enough for tonight." Sally calmed Jess and Hailey down. They were both like bombs. Crazy and you never know when they're about to go off. The older girl's said their good nights and so did Jean and I. I was so tired. I didn't even hear the door open.

"Can I come in?" A voice called out. It was Justin. I didn't talk to him in the car ride on the way home from school and didn't talk to him when we got home. I mostly hung out with the girls, chatting about school life. I didn't answer to Justin's voice but he came in anyway. The lights were out and I was snuggled in the blanket of the guest bedroom. He curled up next to me and wrapped an arm around my torso. When I didn't move or do anything, he thought I was asleep.

"We can talk in the morning I guess. Night Marie." He kissed me on my forehead and left. What was I supposed to do now?
