A very important chapter with mostly ArShi in it and it would mark the base of further chapters. I am expecting an active participation of all the dillagi readers in its discussion because tomorrow I would myself be here in the evening to answer all the comments of course without giving away the story ;)

Ignore the typos if there are left any.

Here you go!

"I-I j-jumped out." Her voice was lower than a whisper but it reached him and tore him when she said.

"F-For .. y-you." She cracked a wounded smile and Arnav Singh Raizada raised her up in his arms and crushed her into a hug while mumbling over and over again.

"You didn't save yourself. You saved me wife." He kissed her neck mumbling against it causing Khushi's face to harden.

"Who was she?" She asked when he placed her in the car.

He didn't reply but the tightening of his jaws was a proof that he heard it well.

"Who was the woman with whom you made a deal to pretend that you betrayed me?" She gritted out causing his eyes eyes to widen in shock.

"What?" He murmured staring at her face.

Pretend?

He pretended?!

Yeah he did but she couldn't know this.

How can she?

No way!

Khushi pursed her lips seeing him going back to his mask of indifference.

Seriously?

After all that happened how can he just... go back to the way he was?

Arrogant!

Silent!

Ruthless!

"Will you tell me who the hell was she?" She gritted leaning to his face and winced as her neck muscles protested whilst he who was standing at her side of the door just rubbed her nape to soothe the ache.

"These little consolations won't work on me anymore Arnav. I don't want you to come to me when I am hurt or in pain. I want you to be with me forever. I want you with me even when I am all healthy and fine. Not just when I am broken. In pieces. In tatters." She choked at the end moving back not taking his help.

"I want us to be together so that we could heal each other." She blinked back the tears.

"You need to be at the hospital right now!" He said firmly and banged her side of the door shut causing her to cringe and close her eyes whilst a boiling rage burned her insides.

"Seriously?" She turned her head to him when he sat on the driver seat and buckled his seat belt and then hers.

He didn't reply. He just started the engine and it boiled her nerves.

She buried her fingers in her hairs and grunted loud enough for him to hear.

"You can't stay silent like this husband!" She shrieked.
