Rad X Enid: "This Love"

Chapter 3

The whole store looked fine except... there were broken robot pieces scattered around.

A sharp yell startled the three.

They ran to the doors to Gar's, only to be firmly yelled at.

"WHERE WERE YOU THREE!?" Mr. Gar yelled angrily.

"Uh, well, we sort of took yesterday off..." Rad spoke up with a gulp.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?" Gar yelled again as he eyed the three.

"Because we thought you'd be okay with it, Sir." K.O said trying to avoid confrontation.

Gar let out a sigh.

"Who's idea was this?" He asked finally.

The three gulped.

"...mine." Enid spoke up.

Rad and K.O looked at her with wide eyes.

"No. It was my idea." Radicles insisted.

"No no no! It was my idea!" K.O said bouncing up.

Mr. Gar eyed all three of them and then frowned.

"GET BACK TO WORK!" He scolded.

They briskly nodded and pushed open the doors to work.

Enid felt really confused as she pretended to cover it up.

Why would Radicles go on a date if he supposedly liked her anyway?

Enid let out a sigh and bagged a customers items.

"Have... A Day." She said waving them off as she propped an arm onto the counter.

Radicles was stocking shelves and K.O was busy unloading new supplies for the store.

Radicles and K.O soon were done and slumped down around Enid's counter sighing.

"Hey. Why'd you take the blame anyway?" Radicles asked Enid.

She shrugged. "The least I could do."

"I just took the blame so Rad wouldn't be in trouble." K.O admitted with a smile.

Rad patted his back. "Thanks dude."

Enid cleared her throat.

"Oh! And thank you too Enid." Radicles said gratefully.

Enid crossed her arms and leaned on her chair.

"When's your little date?" She asked.

K.O and Radicles shared a look.

"Uhmmm. Tonight!" Radicles declared.

Sweat began to bead on his forehead and K.O had a panicky expression plastered on his face.

"Hmph. Cool. So you wouldn't mind if I like, let's say, stop by and see who you're date is with?" Enid asked with a grin.

Radicles frowned.

"Well uh..."

K.O face-palmed.

"Nice!" Enid laughed sarcastically.

Enid was going to find out who Rad was on a date with for sure.

Enid got up and went outside.

"It's my break time, and I think I've teased you two enough for this afternoon." She chuckled as she stepped outside.

"Rad! Rad! Rad! Enid is sooo going to kill you when she knows your date is fake!!!" K.O announced as he paced around nervously.

Radicles joined him.

"I know! I know!"

"Wait maybe you could actually dress up and stuff and she'll believe you!" K.O declared with a victorious jump.

"Yeah, yeah!" Radicles agreed high-fiving his friend.

Enid returned inside and slipped a piece of paper back into her pocket.

Her face felt warm as she read Radicles little love letter for what seemed to be the hundredth time now.

Radicles propped his arm upon the table, truly they were all extremely bored that day.

                          Time Skip

Radicles left work, a smug smile on his face as he walked home to get prepared for his 'date'.

He felt bad because it was truly a plan to confess to the headstrong girl known as Enid...

But hopefully she'd get over it. Right?

Enid felt the need to dress up, she never truly did, but she was crashing a date, she certainly had a reason now.

She wasn't the type of girl to dress up, but she giddily strode around her bedroom, aweing at her appearance.

She then stopped in her tracks.

"I'm really not that girl who's into this." Enid told herself quietly, silence answered her.

She left her house briskly and was on her way to sneak up on Radicles 'date'.

school has been really boring and I've had like 5 essays due in like 3 days so ynow? But anyway I'll be as active as possible!!!
