Marvelous Mac DeMarco

Hey, I'm Ethan Burnside & today I'm gonna be telling you the story of my horrible adventures in Toronto.

As a kid growing up didn't really stick with me because I always had that fuck that shit attitude, which pretty much everyone has now except if you're a slut because if you are! you're down for anything. Pretty much all I did was play with myself just kidding or am I? No but seriously I just would do nothing, but one day, I met my soon to be best friend Mac, a young & pretty dumb kid who moved here from some other part of Canada. He would always say "Let's go rob an old bitch!" but honestly I was a pussy & still am so I would wussy out. Mac & me both went to hell with each other, High School, but things looked great for us. I became the basketball star of the city & Mac became a pretty damn good singer & songer writer.

One night on a cold as fuck day in October Mac got a gig at a place we the called "Rock & Roll Night Club"  of course being his best friend I would go support him. Mac told me before the show that the "Captured Tracks" dude was there. I said "Damn that dude looks like us, but hes rich right Mac?" Mac nodded & said "My name got out there in the USA & hes here to see if i'm good enough for a record". Mac said to me "Well buddy i'm next, mind holding my viceroys?" viceroys being his favorite cigarette company I said "Fuck Mac, ok whatever". He played a few songs that honestly rocked balls. After Mac sung "Me & Mine" the captured tracks dude clapped & so did everyone in the club. I saw Mac talk to the man after & all I saw was Mac just jumping like a white girl going to forever 21. He yelled at "I'M MAKING A RECORD ETHAN!" & I just nodded with a little smile. We came home to our little apartment & just tryed to come up with a record name, boom! Mac had said "Rock & roll night club sounds great" & I just said "Yeah that's where it all happened tonight & it sounds amazing too". A few months pass Mac & I go to the studio every day & do a song out two for the album.

In 2011 Mac released his first album "Rock & Roll Night Club" He had a very indie sound to him & young teens loved it. With success of his new album captured tracks made a second with Mac, "Mac DeMarco 2".

Mac had already made a big name himself & captured tracks just helped. Mac got to play at Burgerrama & several other big festivals for the young indie crowds. Now Mac records in Brooklyn & just released his third album "Salad Days" & is pretty amazing. As for me, well I'm just another indie artist but not as big as Mac my cigarette smokin' friend.

Now were both 23 and you know, it feels pretty great to say I'm from Canada because hipsters. Well shit, I don't anything else to say about my little life with Mac except our high school adventures trying to get some, but you know I'm going to quote the great 2 Chainz, "I love dem strippas"- 2 Chainz .
