It was a normal, bland, winter day. We were sitting in math class, golden sunlight streaming through the windows. Most of the class went by a blur, the teacher had given us a diagnostic test. It was the first time I saw you as more than a new student. The first time I saw you as more than another hateful person. I was in the middle of the test, my eyes burning, my wrist stiff. I ran out to the bathroom, when I came back the atmosphere was stiff. I glanced at you sitting outside, rocking back and forth. When I came in, everyone was whispering, snickering while looking at you. "What's going on," I had asked. Nobody answered. What happened? Why? What's wrong? I couldn't face myself to talk to you. I was a coward. That's when I began to write the letters.
