ABELLA

T H E doorbell rang, it was only three in the morning last time I checked. I made my way down the stairs yawning, I looked a mess, my hair was in a loose bun and my makeup wasn't removed to the full extent.

"Hello?" I asked opening the door half asleep, that soon changes when I see Marco standing at the door. My eyes quickly widened and the tiredness that was once with me has now left.

"Can I come in?" He asks, I nod and he slowly walks into the house. We make our way to the living room standing there awkwardly waiting for someone to break the silence.

"Why'd you come over? it's three in the morning." I questioned, he stared at me as if he was thinking about what to say.

"I wanted to talk to you but I don't know now."

"What do you mean?" At this point I remembered how we had been arguing, "Oh," I simply said.

"I don't like this, the fact that we're arguing."

"I don't like it either, we're both to blame for it."

"I miss you." He simply says, he looked calm as if he was itching to get it of his chest.

"I miss you too, so it's over now? We can go back to being friends."

"Of course." He smiled at me.

He started slowly walking towards the door after this, he stood there for a while before opening the door as if he was thinking about something.

"You alright there you look—" I was about to continue talking when he turned around and placed his hands on my cheeks.

"You're perfect you know that right?" His thumb slowly tracing circles on my cheek.

I didn't say anything in that moment, there was no space between us at all. We were so close to each other, his hands remained on my cheeks as his forehead was now resting against mine. It felt like fireworks were exploding around us and we were the only two in that moment. He let go after a while and I found myself wanting his touch again.

"See you tomorrow." He opened the door and walked out of the house leaving me standing there shocked.

He walked away like nothing had happened, I place my hand on my cheek and slowly trace circles on it like he did not long ago. My cheeks were burning, I'm pretty sure I'd gone red in the face after that. I sighed locking my door and making my way back into my bed, I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep after that but I tried and yet every time I closed my eyes the scene kept replaying in my mind.
