Song: Can't Stop Dancing (Hitimpulse Remix)- Becky G.
I sat in the treehouse, looking out the small window where I could see the stormy clouds above.
This time I was alone in the treehouse, since it was a weekend, and everyone was at home trying to love their family.
My family was disfunctional, but i guess everyone's family's had their ups and downs, and I couldn't blame them, I mean, we're only human.
The secret knock interrupted my thoughts.
I got up from my seat and moved the table that covered the hatch to the ladder below.
Gordie pushed the wooden door open and climbed in, his face was unreadable, but it was hard for him to feel to happy ever since he became invisible in his own home, after the death of his brother Dennis.
I placed the table back on the hatch and returned to my place by the window.
"Where's Chris?" Gordie questioned.
"You know my brother, always flirting with F/N, he went down there earlier, he'll be back soon." I replied, not looking away from the storm clouds outside.
I turned to him, seeing how he studied me with his big, chocolate brown eyes. He noticed that I was looking forward at him and he shyly looked down, his cheeks tinted pink.
I smiled to myself, but dropped the grin when his head jerked upwards.
The sound of thunder caused me to jump, since I was not expecting it.
The rain sounded like bullets, hitting the tin roof of the treehouse.
I smiled again, for I loved it when it rained.
"Did you and Chris sleep in here last night?" Gordie asked, out of the blue. I nodded, still listening to the soothing sound of the rain hitting the roof, it calmed me.
"Dad's been drinking a lot more lately, he's gonna ruin his liver, with all the alcohol and pills he's been consuming. He keeps taking out everything on Chris and I, since Eyeballs never home, and he has no wife to argue with, since she too busy with other men." Gordie nodded, understanding.
"So this is my sanctuary," I smiled, "for now."
He smiled back.
"Wanna do something really stupid?" He asked.
I looked at him, sending him the famous Chambers' smirk, my eyebrow raised, "How stupid?"
"Does running in the rain sound stupid?" He asked again, his smile bigger.
He didn't need my response.
Before I knew it, we were outside, getting soaked. I laughed at the ground splashed up water as we ran.
Another crack of thunder, and the rain grew harder, much to our enjoyment.
I glanced up at the grayish sky, my eyes closed, feeling the rain wash all the pain away. My teeth formed a smile as I held my arms out, getting soaked with the rain.
I knew Gordie was in front of me, but I didn't realize how close we were until I lowered my head, we were only a few inches both apart.
We both were smiling as the rain drenched us, our laughing heard alongside the smack of the rain hitting various rocks.
I looked into his eyes again, I could get lost string in those eyes.
Before I knew it, we were both leaning in. I felt almost natural as my eyes fluttered shut, followed by his.
Our lips touched, and I remember was the crack of thunder making us jump apart.
We both laughed, and leaned in again, for this kiss was longer.
As I pulled away, his teeth gently tugged at my lower lip until he released.
The clouds began to clear up, and we headed back into the treehouse and wrapped ourselves in blankets.
A/N: I literally wrote this at midnight, so of course, it was in need of some major editing. Do you ever have random spurts of energy, it's like at night I never have writers block, I could write a whole novel during the night. This is longer than most of my imagines, but I like it this way, and I'm going to continue adding the music I use as inspiration.
