"So what you're saying is, is that you're inviting me to your family's Sunday dinner?" I asked as I walked with my friend Jack Reagen home from school.

"I've already talked about it with my family, it'll be fine! Just come over at five thirty," Jack replied as we continued walking.

"Okay, but you're sure it's fine?" I asked as we walked up to the front steps of his house.

"Yep, I am 100% sure," He replied as he unlocked the door, "Come on, I want to show you something I found the other day." He added as we walked in.

I put my bag down and followed him upstairs to his room, there was still a picture of the two of us at our eighth-grade graduation hanging up on the wall.

"That seems like it was so long ago!" I exclaimed as I looked at the picture.

"It does, even though it was almost two years ago," Jack added as he looked through one of his drawers.

"Your room hasn't changed since seventh grade," I said as I looked around. There was still a small mark where I had accidentally thrown my math book at in sixth grade when I was over at his house.

"Yep, and the mark is still there where you threw your math book!" He exclaimed as he pointed at the mark. I smiled as I peeked to see what was in his hand.

"Whatcha holding? It looks like an old picture," I asked.

"It is an old picture,  from the beginning of sixth grade," He said as he showed me it. I looked at it for a minute, it seemed like it was a lifetime ago.

"Wasn't that the one field trip when you accidentally hit me with a stick in the face?" I asked as I looked over at him.

"Yep!" He replied laughing. I rolled my eyes before laughing along with him.  I heard the door shut from downstairs, his brother must've just got home.

"Hey, Jack, Hey, Stella," Sean said as he set his bag down by ours. I simply waved as I sat down on the floor and took out my homework.

"Whatcha working on?" Jack asked as he peeked over my book with his blue eyes. I laughed as he started making funny faces.

"Just some social studies homework," I replied laughing. He began laughing too as Sean gave us strange looks.

We both continued to work on our homework in silence for about an hour. Sean was upstairs in his room working on his homework.

"Do you know the answer to number seven?" Jack asked as we worked on our homework.

"Yeah, it's Lee Harvey Oswald," I replied as I looked up. He smiled and wrote the answer down and we continued working. I saw Jack go upstairs to his room, only for him to return a few minutes later.

"What's that?" I asked as he sat back down.

"It may or may not be something for you because I forgot to give you your Christmas gift," He replied with a smile. He pulled out a small box, the kind of boxes you would see a nice set of earrings in or a necklace. I opened it: it was a bronze bracelet.

"Jack! This is so beautiful! Thank you!" I said as I put it on and hugged him (kinda more like tackled him to the ground).

"You're welcome, now could you get off me? This is a bit awkward," He asked as he looked up at me. I scampered off of him, blushing.

I heard the door open and saw Mrs. Reagen walked in.

"Hi, Mom!" Jack said as he got up from the floor.

"Hey, how was school?" She asked as she set her purse down.

"Alright, as you can probably see Stella is here!" Jack chuckled. I waved from the floor as I got up and stood next to Jack.
