Zoo

Liam's point of view

"Are you sure it's a good idea to be going out today?" Louis asked after I announced we should go to the zoo. It was the last day of the Christmas break with Louis and the kids returning to school tomorrow and to say I was bored as well was an understatement.

"Lou I can't spend another day in this house doing nothing. I'm completely recovered from the bug and Ni is just a bit tired and clingy still." I said just as said boy came into the family area.

"Please Papa I really want to see the lions." Niall said as he climbed onto the sofa next to me and cuddled into my side. I had suggested this trip yesterday and Niall was desperate to go himself.

"I don't know I don't want either of you to go downhill again."

"Lou if there was any risk I wouldn't have suggested it." I reassured him and he sighed but nodded.

"So were pick Harry up on the way and then head to the zoo."

"Yep." I said also desperate to see Harry as he had been staying at Louis' mums whilst Niall and I recovered.

"Go and get dressed then Ni." Louis said and Niall quickly nodded before heading upstairs and Louis then headed for the kitchen with myself following close behind.

"Are we buying food at the zoo or do you want to do a picnic kind of thing?" Louis asked me and I shrugged.

"A picnic would be nice but it's going to be cold bearing in mind it's January so it might be best to eat there and then we can get warm and eat something hot." I suggested and Louis nodded in agreement.

"Okay I'll just pack drinks then." He said and I nodded before heading upstairs to shower and get dressed myself.

By the time we were all ready to go it was just past 10 so we quickly got in the car and headed for Louis' mums.

"Does your mum know we're coming?" I asked Louis as I headed for jays.

"Yeah mum does but she said she wouldn't tell harry so it will be a surprise for him." Louis said and I nodded pulling up outside jays.

"Run in and get him lou then we're get going." I said and Louis nodded going to grab Harry while Niall and I waited.

Louis returned 5 minutes later and Harry was full of beans and smiling widely as Louis helped him into his car seat and then dumped his bag in the boot.

"Daddy, Papa said we're going to the zoo." He said excitedly and I nodded.

"We sure are baby, you excited?"

"Yeah, am I coming home after though as I miss you, papa and Ni." He said and I nodded.

"Yeah your coming back home baby. You only stayed with nana because we didn't want you getting sick but everyone's better now." I said as Louis finished getting himself comfortable and then I headed for the zoo.

"Come on Ni wake up." I said quietly once we reached the zoo as Louis had gone off ahead with Harry to get in the queue to buy tickets.

"Hmm." He mumbled rubbing his eyes.

"Come on Love were at the zoo." I said and he slowly looked up at me. I smiled and ruffled his hair before helping him out and then locking the car after grabbing my rucksack.

"Where's Papa and harry?" Niall asked as we headed for the entrance.

"There in the queue for the tickets." I said and Niall nodded taking hold of my hand as we reached the crowds of people queuing.
