CHAPTER SEVEN; ELIZABETH

"You excited?" Daniel asked from the passanger side seat of car while Corbyn drove 75 miles down the highway feeling like he couldn't go fast enough. The two were set off to the airport late at night to get Elizabeth. It had been a year and two days since the last time Corbyn had seen her and just that alone was enough to completely break his heart, he missed her so god damn much.

"More than you could possibly imagine" Corbyn told the slightly younger boy as he turned the radio down just a little so the two boys could talk.

"Im not sure how I go a year without seeing her, its more painful than anyone thinks it is honestly"

"I never thanked you, for driving down to her when her grandpa died, I couldn't be there and it killed me but you being there for her made it easier for her and Ill never be able to thank you enough for that" Corbyn said, smiling at the boy beside him.

"She's my best friend, maybe I get to see her a little more often than you but don't forget how school was for me Bean, having her there everyday would have made things a lot easier and it sucked knowing one of the five people I needed lived so close yet so far away. She's like the sister I've never had" Daniel replied with a small nod as he looked out the window.

"I wish we all could have been there for you Danny, those boys were horrible and if-"

"How about we change the subject?" Daniel interrupted, trying to hide the sound of sadness and pain ripping through his voice but failed.

The two boys talked about music, their graduation and even the ideas of Daniel's soulmate who Corbyn said he was positive Daniel would meet this summer- Daniel just rolled his eyes and called him crazy. If only the blue eyed boy knew his friend was right. Sometimes Daniel felt as if his soulmate would never come and although that sounds stupid because he's literally destained to find his, he feels like he's not good enough for one and that caused so much sadness to well up inside him.

"Her plane just arrived, she should be out in a few minutes" Corbyn smiled with the small bouquet of yellow roses in his hands as he paced back and fourth- feeling nothing but butterflies attack him knowing that in a matter of seconds she'd be back in his arms.

When Corbyn spotted the girl her brown hair was in a messy bun and she had one of his hoodies on with a pair of roots sweatpants but Corbyn could have sworn she had never looked so beautiful. Handing the flowers to Daniel he started walking over to her, her head was still snapping around looking for him causing him to laugh.
