I was at home looking outside seeing my "family" playing games and celebrating my sisters birthday and it's mine to but it's like they forgotten me so i go down stairs to get food before they come inside to get food but as i was at the last step i hear the door creek open i ran back upstairs to my room and got in the bed then pretend to be asleep then i hear foot steps coming closer to my door then it slammed open and hear my sisters come in my room and say

Ruby: hey (y/n) look at what uncle Qrow got me

she said as i turn over and see she has new a red cape and a red and black toy scythe then yang said

yang: look at mine to

i turn my head a little and see she has two yellow bracelets that turn into gauntlets

(y/n): did I get anything (why did I ask I know I didn't like all the other year)

yang: yeah

(y/n): really what is it?

when she said that I got hit in the gut and blood come out my mouth and nose as I hit the ground all I hear is laughing I look up at them as I was about to say something my mom,dad,and uncle qrow was there at the door and what really piss me off was that they were laughing to so i try and stand up my leg were shaking so much I can barely stand

Ruby pov

we see (y/n) stand up and look at us but there is something different about his eyes look cold and dead we stop laughing and look at him then It get really cold then mist come from his body and ice started to form by him ash he just stand there it get colder and colder as he looked at us then says

(y/n): you know what I'm tired of getting beat over and over and OVER again now I'm leaving and don't try to stop me

that look in his eyes when he said that I'll never forget it was the look of hate and rage it's not his normal happy and peaceful look in his eyes not even a little bit

10 year time skip (y/n) pov

You are now 16 and have a band that is playing in Vale tonight before you go to beacon for hunters and it's the last song of the night
