A/N: Thank you for all those who have bothered to take this journey with me. And thank you for waiting so patiently for this. So today I present with a heavy heart the end to the perfection that is: Noorhelm. Enjoy xoxo.

"Are you sure about this?" Noora asked as she helped pick up a harshly breathing Eva from the couch.

"Seriously?! Can't you see that my water has broken... And that any moment my babies will drop to the floor and dent their heads.. FOR EVER!! Do you understand that, Noora? Forever."

If this was any other situation Noora would've laughed at the blotchy face of her best friend as she screamed her head off, strawberry blonde curls flying everywhere, her eyes throwing knives at her. But this wasn't that kind of a situation. Eva was supposed to give birth to the twins, two whole weeks from now, enough time for Chris to reach home base and then take a flight out to Oslo to be there for the birth, but as Noora shoved a wildly thrashing pregnant woman into her ill-equipped tiny car, she'd run out of curses and was now drowning in anxiety and panic.

Putting the car into drive, Eva's agonised screams, a horrifying soundtrack for the drive to the hospital, she called William.

"Hey, bab—"

"Eva's in labo—Eva's loud scream rent the air—and you need to get to the hospital right now. Call Chris. I'm on my way to the hospital," Noora rushed out, her nerves all hay wire.

"Shit! Fuck! Okay, okay. Will be there as fast as I can. Hold on Eva, I know you can do this. Be careful baby, love you," William answered and she could hear him moving around his office, probably getting ready to leave.

Disconnecting the call, she saw she was just a block away from the hospital and so she looked towards her friend who was clutching her stomach, drops of blood lining the floor and her mouth was opened in an 'O' as she gulped down air like it was going extinct.

"Eva, we're almost here. Stay with me, we'll get you and your babies comfortable in a second."

Hitting the brakes, she slammed her door open and ran to the other side, shouting for a wheelchair to a few nurses who were standing outside. Opening the door to Eva's side, she pulled her out, grabbing her under her arms. The small whimper that slipped out of her normally strong as ever best friend, broke Noora out of her panic induced haze.

As the nurses placed her carefully into the chair, she bent on the floor, clasped Eva's knees in a hard grip that bought her the exact attention she wanted.

As Eva's pain-filled, scared hazel eyes met hers, she was transported to the time when she was in the exact same position. Even though she had gone for a C-Section, it didn't lessen the fear of an uncertain future, the accompanied pain of giving birth... The horrible thought of not being able to hold her baby, all those things and more were floating in the glittering eyes of her best friend's.

"I know exactly how you feel Eva, and there's nothing I can say that will take away your pain or chase away your fears, all I can do is tell you to be strong. For yourself and for those adorable babies that are getting impatient to meet their parents. Just know you'll be alright and we'll be waiting for you."

"Chris..," Eva winced as they rolled her up the incline of the front entrance. Jogging behind her Noora knew how awful it must feel to not have your husband beside you, holding your hand as you experienced this milestone, but.. Chris was out their finishing up his last tour, and would be reaching the homebase day after tomorrow and then it would be another day before he'd be here, so there was not much she could do to fix this.

Setting her up in a spacious room, there was a flurry of activity, as a female doctor walked in wearing scrubs, her hands were covered in latex and she sat down in front of  Eva's spread legs, that were covered by a sheet. Looking up at Noora, whose right hand was currently being crushed by the superhuman strength of Eva's grip, she nodded, and then looked under the blanket.
