I was woken up from horrible cries for help . I shot up outta bed sprinting to the door bursting it open .
As I thought it was my mother crying for help , instead I seen a boy . He looked so familiar . He looked horrible though .
" Elora" the boy said before collapsing to the wooden hard floor . I start running but as I ran the hallway got longer . He was starting to disappear .
"NO IM COMING ! " I screamed
"Elora !" He cried
"Elora !"
My eyes shot open
"Elora time to get up ." my little brother Jackson shook me . I rubbed my eyes sitting up .
"What the heck was you dreaming about ?" He questioned
" What'd you mean ?"
" You kept yelling "No I'm coming " " Jackson said choking an eyebrow .
" I don't remember , but why do I have to get up anyways ?"
" You have work in 20 ? You're losing it ! "
We both laughed going out to the front room where my dying mother was .
My mom Rose has four stage cancer . The worst cancer you could ever have . The doctor and I doesn't know how she's still living . She doesn't look bad but she doesn't look too good .
" Morning momma ! " I say in a sweet voice kissing her cheek .
" Morning my sugar " I smiled walking into the kitchen looking in the fridge to find nothing . Then the power went out .
" Shit !"
I closed the fridge turning to my mother running outta the house yelling for the Electric company to wait . I signed walking to the door as Jackson joined .
" Please just a few more days ." she begged the electronic man shook his head no .
" We gave you last month to pay it . You're three months behind . I'm sorry . " he replied getting in the truck driving off .
Mom came back in tears running down her face .
" Mom don't worry ! I'll pick up more hours . I'm sure Joe wouldn't mind ." I smiled to cheer her up a little . She gave me a weak smile .
" I gotta get ready " I said in a low voice .
I get to my room quickly throwing on my work clothes . Throwing my hair in a high ponytail placing on my hat .
I walked out saying my goodbyes .
Jackson walked up too me and gave me a bear hug like it'll be our last .
" Why do you always do that ?"
He shrugged .
" You never know . " was all he said .
He let go walking to mom telling her it'll be okay . I took a deep breath walking outta the door to our beat up mustang driving off .
Thursday .. Which means its wing night . The busiest time of the week .
They always have a live band play too which is pretty cool .
I finally get to the Sandwhich Factory parking rushing in for almost being late .
Which when I walked in I walked in right on the dot . It was already busy for only being 5:30 . I rushed to the back getting greeted by everyone as they continued doing there work . I said my hellos quickly clocking in .
As the night was getting more and more to closing I went to the back to get a drink of soda I had gotten a little bit after I came in .
" Hey Elora " I turned around to see Austin walking up next to me taking a drink of his soda . I smiled.
" Hi , we just go slammed . " I laughed
" Right thank god its over wi-" Austin got interrupted by Joe calling my name from his office .
Austin shrugged I sat my drink down . Walking towards Joe's office .
" Come in and shut the door behind ya" he said as big daddy stood next to him .
" Yes sir ?"
" Stop looking nervous El . Your not in trouble ."
" I have a job for you "
I looked at him with a confused look .
" Okay ? Which is ? "
" You know him better then anyone else ." Big Daddy replied
" Who ?" I asked wondering what the fuck there talking about .
" Diego..."
