When I woke up I was lying on a cot wrapped in thick blue blankets in what appeared to be some sort of infirmary. Carver sat next to me with Weston, Andrew, and Alec who were whispering quietly amongst themselves.

"What happened?" I asked groggily sitting up. My vision blurred slightly and I grabbed my head suddenly feeling sick.

"Whoa there firecracker you might want to take it easy" Alec chuckled. Carver shot him a dirty look, but didn't contradict him as he helped prop me up on some pillows.

"You just tried to use too much magic during the test the other day. You just need to take some time and relax" Carver said soothingly.

"The other day?" I asked confused "How long was I unconscious?".

"Two days" Carver sighed" It's not uncommon you're body just needed to replenish its energy".

I grimaced "I'm so sorry I just did like two spells. A spell for finding lost things to find my way through the maze and a levitation spell to get over a barrier".

"Well that's why" Andrew rolled his eyes "You used two small spells for something way bigger than what they were intended for".

"Plus you burned down the whole maze" Weston groused.

"Which was awesome" Alec laughed "I've never seen anyone with a fire affinity even manage to make a dent in the maze. It's enchanted specifically so that they can't".

"Supposedly only elemental so can mess with my the maze the way you did" Weston leaned closer examining me.

"Don't be ridiculous elementals are a bedtime story" Carver glared at Weston becoming agitated.

"Actually there were documented elements a long time ago. The last recorded cases were Aurther and some of his Knights" Andrew corrected. "Theoretically an elemental could manifest at any time".

"What exactly is an elemental?" I asked confused.

"An elemental is a warlock who can actually become one with the element he or she has an affinity for. Extremely powerful and very dangerous because they're in danger of letting the element completely consume them. Once that happens that happens they just kind of fade away lost to the elements forever" Andrew exclaimed.

"Ok enough talk about elementals" Carver groused. "The important thing is that you're alright".

"Yeah I'm sure I completely failed that test but I didn't die so that's something" I groaned wishing I could just hide cucooned in these blankets forever.

"You're kidding right?" Alec laughed "You impressed the headmaster so much they put you in year eight with the rest of us".

"You'll still have to take a couple basic classes, but yes the faculty decided that you could handle a more advanced curriculum" Carver sighed.

"Also you're grandfather told me that he want to move up binding the coven to Samhain since it fall on a day with no moon" Weston informed us.

"What the hell Weston that's next week" Carver cried out angrily.

"Thanks for the heads up oh magnanimous one" Alec sneered.

Weston was about to reply when an older women came over and told me I was free to go provided I ate a large dinner and went to bed early.

I waddled out of the infirmary acutely aware that I was completely naked underneath the blankets and surrounded by boys. Back when I'd been a dancer I'd been around boys, but this felt different. As much as I wanted to deny it whenever I saw Weston my heart tried to beat out of my chest and there was no denying that Alec was absolutely gorgeous. I tried to fix my hair, but it was pointless without a mirror. I figured that I would just have to try and clean up in my room before dinner.
