Shakespearean Break-up

O! go away, O! take your leave;

All I want is to be alone.

Unto you my heart did cleave;

I yearned for us to dwell as one.

You chose me, it was you I chose.

You promised a ring and gave me a kiss;

Yet you left when the waters arose.

And now you ask what is amiss.

But I'll not be taken in again, for

I've learnéd my lesson by heart

And my throbbing heart still is sore

From the mark of Cupid's dart.

Hearts once joined now severed in twain,

So do not come to me again.
