"tough love"
I don’t want to be two pop stars on a magazine
Or the first wife to the president
I don’t want love like a Disney Sitcom
Or as easy as riding a bike
I want to be the redheaded girl
In a sea of blond haired and blue eyed beauties
The atheist he brings home to a Catholic family
I want loving me to be difficult
And as bumpy as driving up train tracks
I want your love when I’m a train wreck
I want you to care when I’m nonexistent
Complicated
Tiresome
Because I want loving me to be worth it
Not only a choice
But a need

PoetryA collection of short poems that I wrote mostly during the summer of 2013. A majority of them have to do with things I've observed around me and not necessarily things I've been through.
