Aro's Half-human Child

Training Begins

It has been a few months since Alvara was born and Carlisle left after the first week. But was kept updated on her growth rate. Alvara's control over her gift has grown and she called Sulpicia mother first. Then Aro father. Today Alvara's true training will begin as she looks about four years old. Her aging has slowed slightly over the last week. She now eats solid food and still has blood once a week. She knows what she and her parents are.

Alvara's POV

"Why do I have to get up so early Mamma?" I ask whining.

"Don't whine, it is unladylike" she scold me. "Besides you begin your training today" she adds. "I have a dress picked out for you, now it's time for your bath" she states.

"I'd rather be cooked instead" I mumble hugging my pillow.

"Don't you know a mother always knows what's best" she reminds me. Soon my bath was ready and she carried me over to it removing my clothes. I started to wash my body while she does my hair for me.

"Mamma what does Papa do in that room all day? Why can't I go outside?" I ask her.

"Your father is a very important man in our world as are your uncles Caius and Marcus. We've told you when you look Alec and Jane's age you may go out at night with them. Felix and Demetri" she reminds me gently.

"Ok mamma, after training can I read?" I ask giving her the eyes.

"Sure as long as one of the guards are with you my little princess" she tells me. "We're seeing Aunt Athenodora tonight so remember be on your best behaviour" she adds.

"Of course, will she and Uncle Caius ever have a baby?" I ask her. "What about Uncle Marcus, will he find a new wife?" I ask.

"No I don't think they will have a baby and Marcus will never love someone as much as he does his deceased wife. Why do you ask Alvara?" she says as she rinses the shampoo from my hair.

"I just wish there was someone my age to play with" I tell her quietly.

"I'll speak to your father about it, but you know you'll grow up quickly" she reminds.

"I know, it's just no one interested in playing dress up with me. They just want to talk work or train" I explain as she conditions my hair.

"Don't worry you'll grow up soon enough and know we all love you" she says kissing my cheek. My bath finishes and she helps me into the red/black dress she'd picked out. She brushes my hair into a ponytail and places  choker around my neck followed by my coven necklace. Hold my hand she leads me to father's study.

"Papa!" I cheer running over to him and he picks me up kissing my cheek.

"Hello my Principessa" he says smiling (Princess). "You ready to train?" he asks and I nod my head. "What are you doing today il mio amore?" he asks mum (my love).

"I am spending the day with Athenodora, before it is my turn to teach Alvara" she states. "Remember two hours with you, then two with me and she's free the rest of the day" she reminds him.

"I know, now go have fun" he says kissing her gently.

"Eww papa kissed mamma" I say covering my eyes.

"Oh so you don't like kisses?" dad asks smirking and then both he and mum give me a big wet kiss on each of my cheeks. Making me squeal and laugh as I try to escape. Mum finally leaves and Dad puts me down. "Try and left the pillow, throw it into the basket" he instructs.

I do so and my aim was off. But kept trying until I got it and then practiced lifting heavier objects. Then dad takes me to the tower where mum started to teach me the Volturi history. Dad told me some of the laws during my session with him, but said we'd focus on my powers first. Until I can control them properly and then he'd focus on the smaller laws with me.

After my history lesson I took a nap on the sofa with mum humming to me. When I woke up we had dinner with Aunt Athenodora and she taught me some dance steps. Then I went to the library with Demetri and began to read the kid version of Peter Pan. He then took me to my room where I watched the little mermaid before falling asleep.

Sulpicia's POV

I enter Alvara's room to see her asleep on her bean bag with the credits of a movie on the tv screen. Aro chuckles from beside me and turns the tv and dvd player off. While I change her into a night dress. I'm glad I made her brush her teeth before she watched the movie. Aro places her under the covers as we sit either side of her and I decide to bring up what I'd discussed with Alvara that morning.
