"Tick..tock..tick..", I hear a clock tick, a sound that fills my ears, as if it were to grow impatient.  My time is running out. My breath is ragged. "I have to find.. find a.. way to get out.. of here.." I gasp out while I run, "back.. back to.. to..". 'Why can't I remember..?? I feel like I forgot someone really important.' Still an old warmth fills me.

The new unknown energy gives me enough strength to swing a punch at the nearing beast.

It howls in pain while dark-shadow like swirls around my arm and onto the beast. Twisting and curling like preying snakes. It screeches in pain and in a flash it's , seemingly odd-shaped, arm blows up. The beast curls up on the floor clutching itself in pain.

I almost feel pity for it. Almost .

The blaring emergency alarm rings overhead.

Energy pulses around me softly and the masked people panic and start to aim their weapons at me. I hold out my hands and close my eyes. All the noise fades until it's silent. I reopen my eyes. Everything is frozen in place. The masked aiming their guns at me. Liquid stuck mid air. A serum I'm too familiar with, too much for my liking. I turn to look at the floor. The beast stands still, mid-stand. It's head turned up in agony.

I turn and walk away, the clock in my ears becomes audible once again "tick..tock... tick... tock". It's time to go home.
