The low hum of the small radio, perched on the counter, played calming music and served as an ambiance to the room.
"Hyung, isn't this a bit awkward? Even with the doors shut... whoever's on the floor is gonna hear us," Baekhyeon mumbled, looking at the door that's locked shut. It was weird, and the way to open it was to press a green button next to it so it made a loud steamy-like sound and slid open. When it shut it made a latching noise. He shut his eyes and let himself relax against the wall of the room as the other man worked his way up his neck.
"Then just be quiet like you are now. Isn't super hard. No one'll find us," Milo said simply with a shrug, placing gentle kisses against his jawline. It would be hard to stay quiet, he knew, but it was inevitable either way. Whether the technology on the ship was fully working like it was before the attack or not, the walls were pretty thin, and if a pack of cookies fell in one room you'd be able to hear it in the next, unless you were on the fifth to tenth floor, where the walls and doors were even thicker. The ship was weird, and he hated having to go down to the third floor if he wanted to be even the smallest amount of intimate. It'd risk his life, since there was where the creatures usually roamed if they weren't on the first or second. There were a families up there in the fifth to tenth floors, he knew, and he wouldn't want a kid walking in on them kissing so they wouldn't complain to their parents the two boys in that room were being inappropriate again. That was another thing about the ship. The doors up there didn't lock. It's just weird. He leaned forward and kissed the boy, smiling a little at the feeling of warm soft lips against his own.
"Wait," Baekhyeon said, leaning away from the kiss, and Milo, a little annoyed, leaned back. "What is it?" He asked.
"It's just... Milo. I know it isn't safe. You know it isn't safe probably more than I do. I just- I'm sorry. I really am but I don't feel safe being down here," He breathed out, carding a hand through his hair. The only sound for a while was the music and Baekhyeon's breathing. Other than that, it was pretty silent, and that was concerning.
Milo finally nodded, a thumb grazing over the younger's choker, "Then let's keep kissing. That'll be it. So if something happens we just leave," he suggested, looking up at Baekhyeon's face. Baekhyeon thought about it and nodded, and Milo leaned back in to continue their kissing.
Their session was interrupted by a loud thud coming from the next room, and the both of them stopped and looked over at the door that led to said room. Baekhyeon slid off the counter and Milo held his wrist, walking over to the door and he put his hand next to the button that'd open the door, just in case the sound wasn't a person and was, in fact, one of the creatures that made it's way onto the ship. There was another loud thud, and now there was an indent in the door. It didn't open, thankfully, because the two parts of it were tight and secure. Baekhyeon stuck closer to Milo, intertwining their fingers and giving it a squeeze. "Hyung, open it, please?" He asked shakily, and Milo raised a finger to his lips. A little angry, he silently obeyed and stayed shut, looking over at the dent of the door.
Another thud sounded, but this time followed by a gunshot. Milo took his hand off the wall and reached into his back pocket and pulled out one of the mini guns he always kept on him. The button to the other door was pressed, and once the door opened they were both relieved to see Norio, who was covered in the black blood of the creatures.
"Norio!" Baekhyeon gasped, rushing over to the other. "Are you hurt or anything? What happened?" He asked, putting both hands on his shoulders. Norio looked slightly down at him before sighing. "I'm... I'm alive," He spoke in Japanese and laughed, and Baekhyeon rolled his eyes and laughed along.
Milo, totally lost, cleared his throat to gain the two's attention as they got lost in their conversation. He'd have to study the language, he mentally noted. "You're okay right? Did you see any more of the aliens?"
Norio looked at him with wide eyes before nodding. "Yeah, a bunch of 'em moved to the second floor for some reason. I think they're learning how to open the doors too, because I almost got killed by one on the floor when I was going into the coffee shop's back rooms."
"Why were you going in there? I thought we discussed which places were off limits for all of us?" Milo inquired with a raised eyebrow, and Norio didn't seem at all threatened.
"Because, well, there was signal down there. Hyungs, maybe Minsung-hyung is down there still! Maybe he isn't dead! That's the only possible explanation. None of the creatures are going to have phones," He explained with a smile; Baekhyeon didn't believe him, though.
"That's not possible, Norio. It's... I'm sure it was just someone's old phone. Ten people were missing since last week, so maybe it was one of theirs." He said, and Norio shook his head.
"No, their signals have been off since then, I know it, I've checked. You can even too!" Norio exclaimed and handed the device to Baekhyeon, who looked over the signals himself and raised his eyebrows.
"You're right," He breathed out, looking up at Norio and the latter had a proud smile on his face and looked over at Milo.
"I know it's dangerous, and completely off limits, but we've gotta at least try to go down and see what's going down, no?" He asked, eyes full of hope, but Milo still shook his head.
"No," Milo said and looked at him as if he was crazy. "I'm not having neither of you dying trying to see if Minsung's there. If he is, then we'll get into contact with him. For now, no one is going down there, especially alone or either one of you, got it?"
Baekhyeon nodded and looked over at Norio, who looked helpless. He rubbed his shoulder, "He's right. We shouldn't go."
Norio opened his mouth to say something, but he quickly closed it and nodded, wiping some of the blood off of his face. "Yeah, okay." He said a little quietly, and followed the two back up to the fifth floor.
